There is so much to enjoy in Cornwall in the run up to Christmas – this most magical time of the year

We have some great deals on short breaks in our cottages for November and December pre-Christmas getaways.  Just take a look at our booking page for availability.  We are in the ideal location to visit many of the Christmas events happening in Cornwall this winter.  Enjoy some seasonal food, drink and shopping and then retreat to one of our cosy rural cottages and curl up in front of the fire with a hot drink away from the elements.  Woodland and river views can be enjoyed from all of our properties.

Why not come and soak up the atmosphere and stock up on seasonal produce and stocking fillers at some of the numerous Christmas Markets and Fairs in Cornwall and other events that are going on around Cornwall this winter.

Berdruthan Hotel in Mawgan Porth hosts a fantastic Christmas Fair at a stunning location featuring some of the most talented craftspeople and artisan makers from around the south west.  With over 50 stalls, over three floors and only £1.50 entry 24th – 25th November.

The Padstow Christmas Festival is something truly wonderful. The lights of the harbour, the smells from the demonstration kitchen, the sounds of local musicians and carollers.  It really is a fantastic atmosphere and worth a visit 6th-9th December.  Championed and attended by Rick Stein, Nathan Outlaw and Paul Ainsworth, it really is a magical Christmas event hosted in Cornwall every year.  There are two enormous marquees on the quayside and demonstrations by chefs from across the country – yet it still maintains an intimate feeling by not being too big.  Padstow is decorated with Christmas lights, and there’s lots of lovely pubs and restaurants to enjoy. It’s the place you’d really want to be on a weekend in December with so much wonderful food and drink to indulge in.

Heligan by Night at the Lost Garden of Heligan is another wonderful festive event that has proven its worth year after year.  Tickets sell out fast – there are numerous dates to choose from 12th December to 5th January.  Experience the art of illumination as internationally renowned light artist Ulf Pedersen returns to reveal the night time magic of Heligan’s historic plantings.  Heligan also host a Christmas Fair on the 8th and 9th of December.
