We had a wonderful stay at Kingfisher Cabin. It is cosy, secluded and peaceful and a really fantastic place to relax. The kitchen is very well equipped , the shower is good , and the living area is spacious and comfortable. The Wi-Fi is excellent. The views and walks from the cabin are fantastic :there is plenty of bird life and it was lovely to sit on the veranda listening to the sound of the river. A highlight was visiting the Camel Valley Vineyard ( a very pleasant twenty minute walk away ) and sitting on the terrace there in the sun drinking delicious fizz. Rachel and Sam were quick to respond to any messages and have thought of everything you might need to have a perfect holiday.Highly recommended.

What an amazing week we have had! We booked here for our honeymoon and we couldn’t be happier! The cottage was absolutely beautiful, the hosts were so helpful and welcoming! We honestly couldn’t have asked for anymore! Me and my husband enjoyed a paddle in the river at the bottom of the garden, we had bbq’s nearly every evening! It was everything and more!We can not wait to return!!Thank you both so very much x

The location of the property was stunning with the upside down lay out of the property making the most of the views. The garden was secure and excellent for our dog to run around in with easy access to the Camel Trail for walks. The accommodation was great with more than enough room for 5 adults and a dog and the facilities were spot on, the kitchen was extremely well equipped. There was a book with some suggestions for eating out and sightseeing, which was really helpful, but to be fair the property and location were so nice to come back to after a day out that we ate there as much as going out... we made the most of the BBQ and outdoor furniture. I would highly recommend Buzzard Barn, didn't want to leave and genuinely hope to return one day.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Butterwell Farm.Cobnuts Cottage was just beautiful, newly renovated to a very high standard and it was more than we could have expected. Everything inside and outside the cottage has been done with much thought and attention to detail. A real home from home. The cottage is very spacious and airy and is situated within a remarkable and beautiful nature reserve, right by the River Camel and the Camel Trail. The location was perfect for us and our dog, within easy reach to various coastlines but yet still benefiting from the tranquility of Butterwell Farm. Rachel and Sam were great hosts and we will revisit for sure.

🌻🐄 ButterWell Farm: A Tranquil Countryside Escape 🐓🌿I recently had the pleasure of visiting ButterWell Farm, and I must say, it was an enchanting experience that left me rejuvenated and connected with nature. Nestled amidst the Camel River and beautiful vineyards and picturesque landscapes, this hidden gem offers a slice of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of city life. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The rustic cottage provided a cozy retreat for a peaceful weekend getaway. The beds were so comfortable- perfect after a long day out of exploring. One of the highlights of our stay was feeding the chickens, walking amongst the sheep and we particularly enjoyed the fresh eggs each morning – a simple pleasure that added to the authenticity of the experience.

We have stayed at Cobnuts three times and every time we can't wait to come back. The setting is perfect and the cottage is cosy with the log burner. We loved our walks down to the river and bumping into Sam as he was taking some fishermen out hopefully to catch some sea trout. The camel trail is just a stones throw away and is great for cycling. We will be back in 2024.
Nabil20/08/2023
The place was soo nice and cozy. In a beatiful location with amazing views.Rachel and Sam were great at communicating with us and we even ordered some of the eggs from their own farm.Close to a lot of good spots like Eden Project as well as the camel trail that is connected to the farm.Would definitely recommend.

We have stayed at Apple Tree Cottage twice now, and just returned from our most recent stay. Butterwell farm is in the most beautiful spot, with easy road free access to the Camel Trail which we love to cycle on as a family. It is wonderful to stay in such a beautiful rural spot yet be able to easily cycle into the lovely Padstow (or in the opposite direction for something different), and for this reason it is a unique property for us. The views from the garden over the valley are fantastic, and we always enjoy sitting outside with a BBQ. It is also the perfect location to walk over to the Camel Valley vineyards for a couple of glasses of wine overlooking the valley back to Butterwell. We have found it quite unusual to be able to find a holiday property with everything we need and want to cook with, but this property has an abundance of high quality cooking equipment for the days that we want to cook at home. The owners, Sam and Rachel, couldn’t be more helpful, and were very quick and considerate in dealing with an issue that arose during our stay. Thank you both for everything you did for us, and we certainly hope to see you again.
Gina01/08/2023
BEAUTIFUL! You will not regret staying here. It is very private and homely. Extremely clean, well equipped with everything you need and more. The only negative is that we didn't book for longer. Gorgeous surroundings. Easy to get to places. The hammock was an additional bonus! Hosts were great - very helpful information before arriving and information packs within the property made for an easy trip. Sad to leave.

Butterwell Farm is in idyllic quiet setting beside the River Camel which meanders through the property. The cottages are very comfortable indeed and everything there for a cosy stay, in the winter there is a lovely wood burner with plentiful supply of seasoned logs.Dog friendly. Our border collie loved it, would highly recommend, lots of places to visit and see as well as late season salmon fishing. Rachael and Sam are wonderful hosts and Butterwell is a great place to stay.
lucy hazelwell10/07/2023
What a wonderful place to stay. Kingfisher cabin was so comfortable and well equipped. Loved the fact that it was built by Sam!The area was beautiful and we spent hours exploring the wood, walking by the river and fishing. Sam was so informative and helpful. We explored the Camel trail- really recommend the Camel tea gardens- only a short walk up the trail. So much to see and do in the local area.A very relaxing and refreshing break 🙂
Jo03/07/2023
We had a lovely break at Buzzard Barn, the views are beautiful. The barn itself is done to a very high standard. We had two toddlers, a teenager two adults and an OAP and everyone loved there stay. It’s a great location as you can get all around Cornwall from here. We visited Looe harbour and monkey sanctuary, Tintagel and went on the Bodmin steam railway. Will definitely visit again.
Anita Dakowski30/06/2023
Lovely calm environment, great views always very welcoming and accommodating- dogs welcome too!! Well appointed accommation, we have stayed in Buzzard Barn and Apple Tree cottage both very comfortable. We will go back again. Great walks. Easy to get to Bodmin for food shopping and not far from the coast either.
David Pilling29/06/2023
Stayed in Cobnuts cottage, spent our holiday there looking for salmon and seatrout fishing in the Camel river. A beautiful location with choice of many trips around the North coast beaches. Lovely and clean cottage with great views across to the vineyard. Facilities are first class and I could be on the river fishing within five minutes. The bed was so comfortable that we overslept on our last morning, thanks Sam for waking us up! Both Sam and Rachel made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them to make our holiday so enjoyable. Highly recommended for a restful holiday.
Lynne Hopkins28/06/2023
We had an amazing break at Butterwell Farm.We stayed in apple tree cottage and had the best time. The bedrooms were so pretty and the most comfy bed.A brilliant base for exploring the area .We are returning in the summer for another fix and can't wait , neither can our very boisterous sproker spaniel Chester xx
Jean Bell28/06/2023
We have stayed in Cobnuts, a cottage on Butterwell Farm on more than one occasion. We love the location overlooking the Camel Valley. We love the morning walks with the dogs along the river and through the peaceful woodland. We especially love the direct access onto the Camel Trail which offers miles of walks in either direction. Turning east along the trail brings you to the Camel Trail tea garden where we have enjoyed many a cream tea and stunning fresh crab salad lunches. The cottage is always clean and beautifully presented and our hosts have been friendly and helpful but never 'in your face'
Chris Jefford28/06/2023
Butterwell is a great place to stay. Lovely location overlooking the camel valley with the vineyard opposite. Great for family’s as well as couples. Easy to reach the popular north Cornwall beaches and towns such as Padstow, Bude and St Ives which are all within driving distance for a day trip. Sam and Rachel are very welcoming and there is a great choice of cottages. I’ve been staying at Butterwell on and off now for over 15 years and I still always look forward to my visits.
Kevin Smith27/06/2023
Butterwell Farm offers a slice of cornish magic. It's a hidden gem, nestled on the slopes of the Camel Valley. The welcome, the accomodation, the obvious passion for the wildlife - Sam and Rachel are amazing hosts - making myself, my wife and two daughters feel instantly at home.We stayed several times, in both Apple Tree Cottage (great for families) and Kingfisher Lodge (perfect for a couples getaway). The accomodate is always spotless and is a home-from-home, arguably with better views. The grounds of Butterwell Farm are probably the best/quickest "work de-stresser" I've ever encountered - quiet evening strolls along the river bank are highly recommended - deer, fox, jumping fish and otter can all be spotted (if you can get the kids to be quiet).Top marks for a top location run by a top couple.
Nicholas Hinde27/06/2023
Very highly recommended . Beautifully run by a charming family. Wonderful accommodation and views with its own stretch of River Camel for fishing. On the Camel Trail for walking and cycling, looks across to the slopes of the Camel vineyard and well placed for many of Cornwall’s attractions.
Janet Jude27/06/2023
Butterwell Farm is beautifully located in the Camel valley, with direct access to the Camel Trail (walking and cycling to Wadebridge and Padstow). It is extremely peaceful with its own stretch of the Camel River. Ideal for nature watching and fishing. Very good value for money - 30 minutes from the Norh Cornwall beaches around Padstow, Rock and Trebetherick.
Peter M27/06/2023
We spent a delightful and relaxing week in the rustic Kingfisher Cabin. It was located in the most idyllic setting with views of the Jacobs sheep grazing in the fields, and with the River Camel just beyond. We even had our own private access to the Camel Trail. The cabin was stylish, comfortable and spacious. All that we could possibly have wished for. We will be back!!
Andrew Lord27/06/2023
We have stayed once at Butterwell Farm in the main house as a family and once as a couple in Cobnuts with our two dogs. The location is amazing, right beside the River Camel and a stones throw from the Camel Valley Vineyard. We highly recommend a visit to the vineyard. Excellent wines and views over the valley. The properties are beautifully presented, with all necessary amenities. Very spacious too, especially the main house which slept seven of us comfortably. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and Jack even helped us change the battery in our vehicle, which annoyingly died the day after arrival. We would highly recommend a walk along the river. It is so peaceful and calming but if you're feeling energetic you can follow it all the way to Padstow! The location of Butterwell Farm requires you to use a vehicle to get to the many attractions on offer. The Eden project is one such attraction well worth a visit as is Padstow and Tintagel to visit the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stays at Butterwell and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone thinking of staying there. Five stars from us!
Sharon Millar27/06/2023
Butterwell Farm cottages are perfect in every way for a brilliant home from home holiday. We have stayed multiple times in Kingfisher Cabin and we'll be back twice more in 2023, so that says it all really. Fantastic location to access both north and south coasts, great places to eat not far away, lovely hosts, dog friendly, warm and cosy, quiet, tranquil and very well equipped - and as a special bonus, it's just a short stroll across the river from the amazing Camel Valley Vineyard - it's perfect in every way!
Andrew Fox27/06/2023
My wife and I booked the first time May 2021 to stay with our mothers and kids, post-Covid. Loved the place and the hosts, they looked after us and even provided loads of firewood and fresh eggs! Then we recommended Butterwell last year to an American friend and his fiancee, and they haven't stopped talking about it as the highlight of their trip to the UK.
Jules Redeye27/06/2023
We have been holidaying at Butterwell for a few years now, once at Cobnuts and many times now at the lovely Kingfisher cabin. I think that we are returning regularly speaks volumes and we cannot praise enough just what a lovely experience it is.So quiet with just songs from the birds and the rustle from the Camel river to break the sound of silence. Oh, and the odd sheep calling as they march along the river bank. The view along the valley is just amazing, but especially so we think as the sun rises and sets. The grounds are so vast and to be honest it took a few stays to really explore the 40 acres available to roam in, with something for all the family too. Our little Border Terrier loves the walks in the grounds too, and running round the cabin (all quite secure). If you are keen eyed you do get glimpses of the bird to which this cabin's name derives - which is always a thrill. The accommodation doesn't disappoint and has everything there you would have at home, making the stay such an easy transition - and always spotlessly clean. Lighting up the log burner in the colder months just enhances the evening experience, not that you need it as the cabin's heating system keeps you at the right temperature all of the time.Sam and Rachel are just lovely people who are always on hand to answer questions or to help with anything, but never intrude.Trying not to be too gushing, all in all its just a little bit of heaven that we think is fantastic - and such a contrast for us and the world we live in.
Alison Luisier27/06/2023
Butterwell Farm is an amazing place to get away from it all and spend time as a family. The kids loved seeing all the farm animals and the local wildlife right on the doorstep. So many great things to do in the area as well. Rachel and Sam were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in Kingfisher Cabin which was well equipped and super comfy and cosy. Highly recommend!
Ian Richards27/06/2023
I have stayed here on several occasions. Mostly for the fishing. However it is also a perfect base for exploring Cornwall. The beaches are a short drive away and there are plenty of Local Pubs and restaurants in the near vicinity. The hosts are great and work very hard to look after guests requirements. Book a break here you won't be disapointed
Aleksandr04/06/2023
We had a great stay at this cottage. It was clean and well equipped. Spacious and family friendly. Buitiful surroundings. Very well placed for exploring Cornwall. Swings for kids and bbq area with stunning view of the river and the valley. Children enjoyed feeding chickens. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

A lovely cottage with peaceful and beautiful surroundings where you can connect to the wildlife and the nature and that’s what we exactly were looking for. My daughter had the opportunity to see different animals like sheep, hens, horses, birds, cows, a deer and all naturally free (not in a zoo!).It rarely happens that a place or a host can tick all the boxes, however this was the case for us. We really enjoyed our short stay at this place. Thanks to both Rachel & Sam for such a fair, affordable, friendly and professional service.
Elyse03/05/2023
This property was just beautiful. The host very kind. We visited England for the first time and this place couldn’t be more perfect. With a big picture window overlooking the Camel river with rolling green hills, brought to mind what one thinks of when dreaming of a visit to England. We’ll never forget it.
Erena01/05/2023
Just perfect! The house is gorgeous and the surroundings are so peaceful. It is a real farm so there are sheep grazing and chickens too. It’s a doggo heaven and there are some very nice dog friendly beaches not far away. We also had a fantastic meal in Padstow, which was 30 minutes away. We hired bikes for the Camel Trail and that was good fun too. Highly recommend.

Excellent property in stunning location We stayed here as a group of 6 adults and an infant. The property was of a high standard, lovely and clean with plenty of room for all of us. All 3 bedrooms were spacious and beautifully dressed. The kitchen again was of a good size to fit us all for meals without being cramped and it had everything we could have needed. If you love nature then this property is a must, I like photography and I was in heaven! There is a river running at the bottom of the property and the wildlife is abundant, we saw lots of deer, both types of woodpecker, heron, nuthatch, chaffinch, grey wagtail, loads of squirrels and a tawny owl. I would revisit this property in a heartbeat!
Anna17/04/2023
Beautiful, peaceful and family friendly little haven. Stones throw from busy tourist towns and amenities.Cannot recommend Rachel and Sam’s Cottage enough, cosy and clean, well equipped. Although. it’s very easy and quick to explore Cornwall. Holiday in Cornwall does require a car, but nothing is really far away; and staying here at Butterwell Farm is perfect base. The chicken feed in a little gift bag, made my toddlers weekend, she had so much fun watching the chickens, the lambs and the river flowing along below is just so relaxing. We highly recommend the accommodation and location, and would certainly return.
Aisha17/02/2023
This has to be one of the best air bnbs we have ever stayed in! Our kids loved watching the sheep come through every morning and the stunning location reminded us to slow down and take life in a little bit! The house in it’s entirety was stunning from the building down to the decor and furniture ! This place is perfect for a family with a mixed age. Thanks for having us! X

A beautiful, cosy lodge in a superb location away from it all in the heart of the Cornish countryside. We loved our stay here, a real home from home with everything you could need. Clean, warm and homely, good for nights in infront of the log fire after active days out exploring the countryside. The cabin is a stones throw from the river with opportunities for wildlife lovers. With direct access to the Camel Trail, it is perfect for cyclists and walkers. We met Rachel and Sam who were delightful and couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. Thank you. We wouldlove to return

Stunning views, peaceful location. Well equipped and comfortable property. We had a super time staying at Apple Tree Cottage. The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Great location for access to Cornwall's stunning North Coast beaches and the Camel Trail. Walks along the river near the property were a highlight, as was feeding the chickens. Thanks to Sam & Rachel for a memorable stay.

We had a fantastic stay between Christmas and New Year. The cottage was the perfect size, with great views. Although the weather wasn't great, we had a wonderful time - the log-burning stove was a real plus, and the whole place is well appointed. Our dog had a great time too - the stair gate is a great touch for stopping dogs (or children!) exploring the downstairs bedrooms. Rachel and Sam were very helpful and responsive. We would love to come back in the summer when the weather is hopefully a bit more condusive to enjoying the beautiful Cornish countryside.
Kirsty26/12/2022
Booked last minute for. Christmas 2022. I can’t actually believe this place was still available considering how beautiful it is. The owner had decorated a real mini Christmas tree in the lounge which was a lovely touch. Honestly the nicest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful surroundings, immaculate rooms, much bigger than it seems in the photos, warm, log fire and the beds are very comfortable. I cooked Christmas dinner here and found all the kitchenware I needed. It’s so peaceful and the cottage is so warm and modern without being soulless. Would love to visit again.

Very relaxing stay with our dogs Kingfisher cabin is an amazing place to stay in the heart of Cornwall. The cabin was very welcoming, well equipped with every thing you need and the wooded burner made it very cosy. Great for dogs as lots of lovely walks.Would highly recommend
Simon20/11/2022
Rachel and Sam's cottage was absolutely perfect. It's in a particularly beautiful, peaceful location in the Camel valley with direct access to the river and a wonderful view - but only 10-15 minutes from Wadebridge with all facilities there. The cottage was extremely warm and toasty when we arrived and the 'upside-down' nature of the accommodation (bedrooms ground floor in the side of the hill, living space upstairs) meant the bedrooms were particularly cosy. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were fantastic! really hot water and loads of water pressure.Rachel and Sam accept dogs (essential for us) and there is a built in stair gate to keep the dogs out of the bedrooms. Obviously great for small children too!The cottage was spotless and communication throughout was excellent. We had a really enjoyable short break and I could not recommend the cottage highly enough.
Christine A13/11/2022

Glorious Place Butterwell Farm is a delightful place to stay, we were in Kingfisher, a log cabin beside the River Camel.Stunning river views and cosy tasteful interiors, a log burner with plenty of logs supplied. We fished for the late salmon run and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Definitely booking for next year.Thank you Rachel & Sam, most enjoyable.
SurfCityUK08/11/2022

Beautiful relaxing holiday This is our third year at Butterwell Farm, first time in the lodge. The lodge is very cosy & warm especially when it is pouring down outside! We loved sitting on the veranda in the pouring rain watching the river flow by & the sheep in the adjoining field. Our 3 dogs loved the enclosed garden and playing chase around the lodge. The fishing was a no go this year due to the river levels - but it doesn’t really matter as it is such a relaxing place to unwind. Highly recommended- thanks Rachel & Sam.
Andrew M27/10/2022

Sixth or seventh visit. Peaceful and perfect as ever Annual autumn pilgrimage for fishing - mostly sea trout - but probably spend more time just hanging out in this unbelievably beautiful place. Access to a long stretch of the river, which is mesmerising. We stay in Appletree Cottage out of habit - perfect for self-catering. Well equipped, clean, very comfortable. Have seen the inside of other Butterwell accommodation and it looks just as good - more characterful, even. Sam and Rachel run things faultlessly (Sam fishes and has plenty of good advice). One or two of the local pubs are a short journey by car and very good for food. Camel trail just over the river, Padstow not far.
Tracy F15/10/2022

Kingfisher Cabin Kingfisher Cabin is clean and comfortable. Lovely log burner heats up the cabin quickly. Super king sized bed. Underfloor heating in the bathroom (although we never needed to use it) and well stocked kitchen equipment. Sam and Rachel keep the cabin in great condition.Wonderful views and easy walk to Camel trail and Camel Valley vineyards. Highly recommend booking a table for drinks or a tour of the vineyards.Very dog friendly with lots of beach and woodland walks nearby.Plenty of places to eat within a short drive. Sunday roast at St Kews is amazing. This is our second visit and absolutely love the area and the farm. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a fabulous stay at Butterwell Farm. Rachel and Sam are great hosts. Their communication was great throughout and were always on hand if we had any questions. The cottage was lovely and what amazing views and places to walk around the farm. A define place to visit and stay with easy access to the sites of Cornwall. We hope to revisit again.
Anita V13/08/2022

A wonderful stay in a beautiful part of Cornwall We had such a wonderful week staying in Apple Tree Cottage at Butterwell Farm. We spent several days cycling both ways along the camel trail which can be accessed traffic free from the property - perfect with our children, and the other days driving to some of our favourite Cornish beaches. It was a joy to return to the cottage and eat dinner in the garden with the most beautiful view across the valley and down to the river Camel. It was also nice to have plenty of things to cook a proper meal, unlike many of the properties we have stayed in previously. We stayed during a heatwave, but the property was airy and stayed relatively cool which we were grateful of. It is such an idyllic and peaceful spot, and lovely to be able to have some days out without needing to take the car. Thank you Rachel and Sam - we certainly hope to return to Apple Tree Cottage.

Buzzard Barn / Butterwell Farm Another brilliant & peaceful fortnight in this very comfortable barn conversion. Externally the countryside and views are simply stunning and the visiting herd of Jacobs sheep are a delight. The frontage onto the Camel river and walks in the farms woodlands are so relaxing with access across the river up onto the Camel Trail. Our dogs were in heaven 🐾🐾🐾.Internally the barn is well equipped, stylishly decorated throughout and comfortable. The WiFi connection is good.

Peaceful & Tranquil We have left our hearts in Cornwall!! What an amazing week we have had. Thankyou so much to Rachel & Sam for being such great hosts. (Inc a trip to the Post Office 🙏💕) This is such a gorgeous, romantic cottage with everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect as we were able to walk from their esate straight onto the Camel Trail & walk for miles with the dogs, they had a great time! We also spent time in Padstow, Rock, Tintagel & The Lost Gardens of Heligan. (Everywhere is so dog friendly) All in easy reach from Cobnuts. We would highly recommend this stay & we would love to return!
Jack26/06/2022
We stayed here at the cabin for 1 night. The cabin itself was immaculate with a real countryside vibe and the location was very tranquil and buzzing with wildlife. Because we only stayed the 1 night we didnt have much chance to go and explore but made the most of chilling around the cabin instead. The stay was very enjoyable and was topped off by having the log burner on in the evening. Would definitely stay here again. Great accommodation & great hosts.
Ben05/06/2022
We had a fantastic few days at Butterwell Farm. The views are amazing, with a vineyard a short walk away over the other side of the Camel river, which flows through the farm. You can walk the nearby Camel trail in to Bodmin or hire bikes and go as far as Padstow. Beautiful beaches are a half hours drive away. The cottage was spacious and well equipped and our children enjoyed the garden swings and chickens. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Barrie D24/05/2022

Fantastic base for cycling trip Butterwell was a superb base for a group of 8 of us who wanted to spend a few days mountain biking and relaxing in the UK. The facilities were first class - clean rooms, hot and strong showers, spacious communicable areas…and the breakfasts were first class! Also, as a host, San couldn’t have been more helpful - giving us tips on routes to follow and keeping the ‘Tribute’ stocked up!
Ian27/03/2022

Perfect pet friendly cotage This is our third stay at Butterwell farm. Great location , quite and peaceful, lovely enclosed garden were we could let our dogs safely out with great views across the camel valley to the vine yard and river flowing at bottom of field.Sam and rachel supplied evertything needed for a fantastic stay at Appletree cottage. This will definitely not be our last visit.
Susan17/03/2022
We’ve stayed in quite a few holiday cottages and apartments etc. but easily can say this is the best place we have ever stayed. The location is just perfect if you want to get close to nature. We didn’t need the TV, we spent hours watching the birds and wildlife all around the cabin. The cabin itself is first class in all respects, clean, well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom with plenty of hot water and a good shower. Comfortable bed. Plenty of logs for that cosy log burner in the evenings. Great location, very close to the Camel trail. Rachel and Sam have obviously worked very hard to make this a fantastic place to stay.
Alison Payne05/03/2022

Idyllic retreat This was our 2nd visit to Kingfisher Cabin and once again we felt the stress float away when we saw the views, heard the birds and the river, this is definitely not our last visit to Butterwell. Kingfisher cabin is tucked away in a private quiet corner with everything you could need for a very relaxing stay. It was very clean and fresh with the log burner set up ready to light. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in Cornwall you will not be disappointed with Kingfisher Cabin, unless it’s fully booked!

Fabulous A lovely, peaceful hideaway in the depths of a beautiful valley. Perfect for doing nothing...relaxing and enjoying the log fire. The barn has all you need to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. The kitchen is well equipped, The water hot, the logs plentiful and the beds comfortable. The information pack is perfect for instructions on how to light the fire and other necessary details. The Camel Trail is perfect for dog walking and blowing the cobwebs away. Quiet and peaceful situation perfect for enjoying nature The kitchen was very well equipped with quality appliances . Beds super comfortable, bathroom and shower great . The garden was perfect for our little dog who enjoyed the company of the Jacob sheep in the neighbouring field .The Barn was in a perfect position for visiting the Camel trail, the vineyard and Padstow but sufficiently off the main tourist route

absolutelystunning place. super cosy. well stocked kitchen and super clean. easiest Airbnb to find. the surroundings are peaceful and tranquil.Great for the dog too.Great at anytime of the year especially in the warmer days where you can really take advantage of the outdoor space and surrounds. in the winter, taking advantage of the log burner was delightful.I can't find any points to criticise and highly recommend this stay.
Carl20/01/2022
A stunning cabin in a beautiful part of Cornwall. Perfect if you’re looking for a quiet retreat, the only sounds around are of the river at the bottom of the garden, local wildlife and the burning fire. Spotless inside and out and with everything you need, hosts Rachel & Sam couldn’t have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again. Thanks, Carl & Charlotte 😊
Hippychix06/01/2022

Perfect in every way This was our 3rd stay in Kingfisher Cabin and we've booked again to visit twice in 2022, so that says it all really! Perfect location to access both north and south coasts, great places to eat not far away, lovely hosts, dog friendly, warm and cosy, quiet, tranquil and very well equipped - nothing more to add - thank you Rachel and Sam, see you again soon!
Venture5484666973803/01/2022

Great Escape Just a wonderful little place tucked into the beautiful Camel Valley. Spotless and very well finished and appointed upside down home with elevated views to the river and to the vineyard, enjoying all the benefits of the Camel Way. Wished we taken bikes even for bleak December. The Butterwell Farm run all this so well and deserve the acclaim they must so evidently enjoy. Even the beds and the linen - like a top hotel.
Jenna29/12/2021
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. The place was perfect for us and our two dogs. It was immaculately clean and comfortable and the little fireplace after a long day hiking in the rain was amazing. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again if we were ever back in the area.
Patrick27/11/2021
It was a really great week for us, and especially for my wife who's 60th birythday treat this was, staying at Apple Tree Cottage. We were able to have several walks along the Camel and on various beaches and were so lucky with the weather. You are situated in a lovely spot and very well placed for both north and south coasts and you are both welcoming hosts - thank you for your tips and help during the week.

The River side cabin was absolutely stunning , everything you need for a short stay or longer . Perfect location and almost on the doorstep is the camel trail or you have the coast 30 mins away . Everything was easy check in check out etc , communication also excellent . We highly recommend a stay here .

Fabulous spacious well equipped cabin exactly as per the pictures. Situated in a beautiful location. Stayed in November taking full advantage of the brilliant wood-burner making it a lovely cosy and relaxing experience. Would definitely return and highly recommend this great little find.

Blissful This is a truly wonderful place to stay. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. The surrounding garden and land is just amazing. It is a stones throw from a beautiful river and the fishing is fabulous. The hosts are lovely and have perfected the art of being friendly, helpful but leaving you to get on with it. We will most definitely return and already I can’t wait!

We had a fabulous stay at the Riverside Cabin. It is in a beautiful location, tucked in the valley right next to the river, the Camel Valley trail and looking up towards the vineyards. Sam and Rachel have thought of everything. The cabin is spacious but cosy, super clean and really well equipped with fantastic information on things to do and places to go. The cabin has a full length balcony and secure garden looking down over the river. The location provides easy access to the North Cornwall coast. We managed to do so much in our short break: coastal walks around Polzeath, Padstow and Port Isaac; up onto Bodmin Moor; and a quick jaunt up to the vineyard for wine tasting on the terrace as the sun went down. A perfect 3 day break!

Exciting fishing at a perfect riverside retreat This was our fifth visit to Butterwell for a long weekend's fishing.Rachel and Sam offered up a warm welcome and we settled into our favourite Apple Tree Cottage, complete with a well-appointed kitchen, cozy sitting room and comfortable bedrooms. The standard of accommodation is very high, and spotlessly clean.Since our last visit cottage has been enhanced by the addition of a fishing hut to store the rods and other tackle, complete with a secluded picnic table and its own BBQ / woodburner. On our first evening I watched a sunset murmuration of rooks over the vineyard on the other side of the Camel valley. We also saw deer and a stoat during our weekend.Arriving in low water we spent the first day walking and spotting small sea trout in the clear pools, before enjoying the dramatic spectacle of a spate, which made for exciting fishing over the rest of our weekend; from the well-managed upper pools, through the beats to the wild sections in the woods below. Thanks Rachel and Sam - can't wait for our next visit.

Buzzard Barn Beautiful barn in a beautiful setting, lovely views of the vineyard and countryside from all windows. Well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Owners very helpful and answered query’s immediately. We have two anxious dogs so worried that the other properties would be too close but actually this was not the case and very private. However there are sheep in the paddocks around so if your dogs likely to chase or jump small fence then would need to keep them on lead. We did so and this was not a problem nor hinder us in anyway. Great walks from barn takes you to a local tea room which has lovely cream tea and only 30 mins approx from beaches. Would recommend.

Cobnuts The location location is beautiful and quiet right on the camel river. You can walk straight through the Estate on to the Camel Trail giving access to the Camel Valley vineyard. There is also a garden cafe and a good pub if you head towards Bodmin on the trail. Great for cyclists. You can access beach walks by car which are great for dog walks. The property was clean and tidy, warm and welcoming and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable.Sam and Rachel were wonderful hosts.

A great place to stay in North Cornwall I've stayed at Butterwell many times in the past although not since Sam and Rachel took over the reins and it was good to be back. We had a great week despite the changeable weather and managed to make numerous trips out to local beaches, coastal towns and places like Golitha Falls which is well worth a visit. The dog friendly accommodation was great, all set in a stunning location overlooking the river Camel. I'm already looking forward to visiting again next year. Many thanks to Sam and Rachel.

Perfect Cornish cottage in beautiful setting. Our second stay at Butterwell Farm and Cobnuts is a super cute, comfortable, clean, well-equipped cottage for two (plus doggy friends) in the beautiful River Camel valley. It has lovely private, enclosed (dog-proof) garden areas with views down the wooded valley and across the river to the Camel Valley Vineyard. A great central base for exploring Cornwall or just chilling in the glorious surroundings and enjoying the local flora and fauna. Would highly recommend and we will be returning again soon!

Kingfisher Cabin, Nantstallon, Cornwall This was the second time we stayed at Kingfisher Cabin and our stay was as delightful and relaxing as the first time. The setting, on a lovely private stretch of the River Camel, is magical. The cabin is exceptionally comfortable and well equipped. It is an excellent place to stay if you are looking to explore this part of Cornwall. It is also super dog friendly.

Fantastic What a jewel! A fantastic find that we shall book again and again. No attention to detail spared including instructions on how to set and light the log burner. Everything was spotless and evidently concerned about our environment with cleaning products suitable. Amazing views. Fantastic walks. Just wonderful.
Becca53226/09/2021

Fantastic Break We made a last minute booking to stay at Apple Tree Cottage for a short break. The three bedroom cottage is very spacious, clean and comfortable, with beautiful views in all directions and a lovely secure garden with a very handy bike store a swing in the garden, a picnic bench and stone barbecue. We had a wonderful stay and would have loved to have been able to stay longer. Accessibility to the North and South Coast is great from the area. The Camel Trail can be accessed from the property along a lovely walk by the river. The trail offers great off road cycling in the direction of Padstow via Wadebridge or Bodmin, the trail surface is also very good. Butterwell Farm is a hidden gem, the owners are lovely and helpful with tips about the area. They are doing a great job especially in such trying times with Covid 19. Both Rachel and Sam have things extremely well set up and are very professional. All the properties have separate access and outdoor space with no shared gardens, we were impressed with the steps that are being taken for visitors to enjoy a safe stay. All in all Butterwell is a fabulous place to stop, it is very peaceful and secluded, we will definitely rebook to visit again and thoroughly recommend the accommodation to anyone considering it for their holiday.

Peaceful and Tranquil We have been to Butterwell farm 5 times, we have stayed at Buzzard barn and Cobnuts. Our last visit was at Cobnuts. We absolutely love it here. As soon as we get out of the car stresses just drift away. We love a walk by the river, we saw at least 6 trout this time. A great place to fish. They are COVID aware, everything is clean and spotless. We had a visit twice aday from mrs hornet and a lovely field mouse, outside of course. The garden is beautiful. if you need to contact the owners they answer straight away. We had a power cut whilst there , Rachel kept us informed, it was the fault of the power company. Only out for a couple of hours so no problem. If you want a peaceful secluded hideaway this is the place for you.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. A lovely cottage with 3 Double bedrooms, all with their own bathroom. We've been a couple of time now and intend to go again. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but it's easy to access the main routes for travel around the county. We saw deer and a Kingfisher, the Camel river runs through the grounds. It's right on the Camel Trail so there are loads of beautiful walks or bike rides (Padstow is about 50 mins on a bike, 20 in a car) There are even some MTB trails nearby. Within 10 mins walk there are Tea Rooms serving cream teas and also a vineyard for tasting and buying local wines.

Family visit to Butterwell Farm in magical Camel Valley We visited Butterwell Farm for a fortnight in two cottages after months of lockdown in London. Sam and Rachel, our hosts, warmly welcomed us and kept us supplied with advice, fresh eggs and logs for the fires. The properties were clean and tidy, fully-equipped, and the space was very generous with three full bathrooms in the larger cottage and private gardens for all cottages. Butterwell Farm is 10 minutes from Bodmin, and situated just half an hour's drive from either Padstow to the North or Fowey to the South. Eden Project is closer. On the other side of the beautiful green valley runs the famous Camel Trail, where the excellent Vineyard and Tearooms beckon, and the birdsong was incredible. We look forward to our next visit.

If you’re looking for a beautiful log cabin, amazing views and peace and quiet, then look no further! The cabin is amazing, lovely decked area for looking at the amazing views of the lake and farm animals! Log fire at night was absolutely stunning and the cabin was immaculately cleaned! Trust me, if you’re thinking and not sure, you wokt regret it, get it booked!
Mike18/05/2021
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay here, the rural setting is beautiful and the location is fantastic for exploring Cornwall. The cabin is fully equipped with everything needed to ensure a comfortable stay, we loved lighting the log burner in the evenings which made it extra cosy. Our 2 year old was very happy here and enjoyed exploring the tranquil outdoor grounds.

Excellent pet friendly accommodation Very nice and comfortable accommodation, we really enjoyed our stay. Very central for visiting either the north or south coast in this section of Cornwall. Very nice location; quiet, great views and a nice short walk to the camel trail. Bodmin is only a short drive too.

Absolutely perfect for our first trip as a family! We are in love with Cornwall and with Butterwell Farm... We stayed at the Apple Tree Cottage and we will definitely come back again! the cottage is absolute incredible, really clean, incredible look after and with a lot of love around it - you can tell how much hard work and love Sam and Rachel put on it! I can't get enough of that view, the chickens, the sheep, the flowers, the river and the secret places around the farm that you can discover while having a beautiful walk.My 11 month old daughter loved the places as much as we did - big space for her to crawl & play, big private garden just for us with a two swings just for her and me! she was all over the moon. The master bed is really big and super comfortable... I think we had the best sleep in a very long time! The small details in the house are so well look after... We had a really lovely weather so we missed the opportunity to light the fire in the beautiful log burner, but instead we had romantic dinners in our gardens with the stone BBQ that its available looking at the sunset. What's not lo love! The location is perfect - basically everything no far than 20 minutes away (perfect!) - you can easily go to Padstow for a lovely walk, fish & chips and of course some fudge, or you can go to Newquay for some surf, yoga in the beach and why not some more fish and chips on the beach 🙂 and so many other villages to discover around! also great outdoor activities for kids like The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden project…We have definitely find our second home for all our Cornwall trips!Peter, Carla & Cristina

Cannot be faulted, Excellent stay again. Once again staying at Butterwell could not be faulted, great location and a stunning property to stay in, very cosy, very private, plenty of wildlife to observe from the veranda. (don`t really want others to know otherwise we won`t get a booking, LoL)Rachael and Sam have worked hard to provide this brilliant vacation spot.
Hayley08/05/2021
What a great little find! We decided to take a trip to Cornwall and found this lovely cottage, the location was great as we were able to explore a lot of Cornwall and not have to spend too long in the car with children. The cottage is immaculate, Sam and Rachel were great hosts and took the time to get to know our family and let the kids feed their chickens. There is a lovely lake at the bottom which the children spent time at. We would certainly return.
SMehta07/05/2021

Fantastic mini break We had a lovely time staying in the Kingfisher Cabin for a weekend break. Perfect for a couple, log burner for cosy evenings, sunny spots outside for drinks, secluded and romantic, everything you could possibly need! Sam and Rachel are fantastic hosts and we’d recommend Butterwell farm to everyone. Can’t wait to go back!
Michael29/04/2021
Easily the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The cottage has everything you will need (including a fire), and set in the most amazing location with the river, farm animals roaming, winery and tea rooms in walking distance. A great base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer, with some great recommendations from Rachel & Sam. Will definitely look to come back
Penny L26/04/2021

Blissful peace A well kitted out comfortable cabin for 2. Very private. Enclosed grounds. Very rural area. On 40 acre site along banks of river Camel. Owners have fishing rights and in season this is a thriving business. Sheep roam freely so dogs must be kept on lead at all times. Eco friendly environment. Log burner which super heats the cabin. Well appointed bathroom with shower over bath.Bed 6' wide and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. May return. If I was wishing for some icing on the cake I would have loved there to be a couple of more comfy outdoor chairs in addition to the little bistro set.
Alex24/04/2021
An absolutely gorgeous location and amazing private access to the Camel Trail from the cottage. The estate was beautiful to walk around in the evening and it was super special to spot lots of wildlife down by the river. The cottage was lovely and very clean with an amazing log burner and good storage for our bikes. Directions to get to the cottage were very accurate and we got there without any issues. A lovely place and would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks, Sam and Rachel!

I little bit of heaven in the Cornish countryside We had a fabulous stay at Buzzard Barn, part of Butterwell Farm. The property was charming, clean, well decorated, private and quiet, it had amazing views across the valley and fantastic outside spaces, the perfect place to unwind after such a stressful year! Sam and Rachel we fantastic hosts, really welcoming us.we didn't visit during the fishing season, but would come back to give fly fishing ago and to continue explore the area that has so much to offer.
Clarissa17/04/2021
This was our first trip after lockdown and what a great choice of destination! The house is really big and comfortable, with 3 huge bedrooms and bathrooms. The outdoor area is a charm with bbq area and a swing for the kids. It was the perfect spot to end the day facing the river and the valley with some wine and bbq. Hosts are friendly and helpful. The location is great, really close to the camel trail, the vineyard and about 20ish minutes from the nearest beaches. Definitely recommend.
Carole16/04/2021
We stayed in Cobnuts at Butterwell, Rachel and Sam have been quick to respond to correspondence, and very helpful as we’ve had to re arrange twice due to Covid. But we got there and have had a perfect week. Instructions for everything from check in to departure all very clear. Everything in the cottage clean plus one of the most comfy beds I’ve ever slept in. We lit the wood burner each evening and had a plentiful supply of wood. Walks up to the Camel Trail easy, and everywhere we wanted to see was only a short car journey. All in all a fab few days, Butterwell and Cobnuts perfect for our much needed break. Harry our Springer loved it to, curled up asleep by the fire every night
Gem20/12/2020

Cosy getaway We had the best time here! The cabin is situated above an unspoilt view of the river Camel, along with the beautiful scenery. The wood burner makes the evenings cosy and romantic. The cabin is a perfect couple getaway! the Bodmin jail and slate mine are worth a visit! Woods cafe do the best cream tea. The borough arms is perfect for evening pub grub!

The best fishing holiday ever. This was an amazing escape from Covid because we have been isolated since March with an elderly parent. The lovely private stay at Butterwell Farm gave us all the change we needed. The estate gave us the freedom to roam alone whilst also giving a much needed change of scene for the whole family. We stayed at Apple Tree Cottage which is so much better than the pictures on the website. Loads of room for a multi generation family with a bedroom & bathroom downstairs for Granny & fabulous en-suite bedrooms upstairs for us. Granny loved the cottage and the log fire x Absolutely huge and really comfortable. We have 3 crazy cocker spaniels who adored the large front garden & amazing walks around the estate including their very own paddock for free running. Doggie heaven. Every facility is available in the cottage, nothing needed - the log burner with free logs was superb. Especially after fishing all day along a fabulous stretch of the River Camel. Hubby was happy with a trout on the first day & the promise of more catches lurking in the deep pools. Honestly the best fishing accommodations & holiday in 10 years. Sam walks the beat with you and offers any support needed to get that elusive catch! We will be back in 2021 - thank you Rachel & Sam x

Excellent location We stayed in The Kingfisher Cabin for two people. Very clean and very well equipped with a nice touch of leaving binoculars. The location is superb with clear views of the Camel river (about 100m) and it felt really quite isolated. My husband had fly fishing instruction with Sam and he said, despite very heavy rain, how good the teaching was. We only had a short two night stay but would go again, perhaps at a warmer time of year ,to explore the area more. It’s opposite a vineyard and Camel Trail.
Lucy06/11/2020
A truly idyllic location overlooking the River Camel and onto the Camel Valley Vineyards but still within close reach of amenities in Bodmin and Wadebridge and not too far from all the beautiful beaches of North Cornwall. The barn is beautifully done, fully equipped kitchen and a gorgeous garden with plenty of walking routes from the back gate. It was spotlessly clean and the extra measures taken for Covid19 were excellent and clearly explained.Sam and Rachel were easily contactable and quick to respond to any questions we had.Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
Rachel10/10/2020
Loved Sam and Rachels cabin! Exactly what we were looking for and more style and location! (Just wish we stayed longer now!) Always happy to help if needed assistance! Lovely surroundings and very piecefull. The cabin was very clean on arrival and the heating was on for us so it was lovely and warm. Great location for Newquay beach and plenty of other close by as well as the camel walk! Would 100% recommend and stay again! Thanks again
Joe09/09/2020
We had a great time staying at Sam and Rachel's cabin. The cabin is in such a beautiful location and is in a great place for accessing beaches across north Cornwall as well as the Camel Trail.Everything was very clean and tidy and we had clear and helpful communication with Sam and Rachel when there was minor disruption. Would highly recommend.

Fun Holiday Cornwall This lovely cottage 5 mins from Bodmin, 10 mins from Wadebridge was a perfect location for my family of 4 boys, 1 girl all active. Al covid-19 precautions taken by owners, we were able to relax, enjoy walks by the river Camel and many bike rides on the Camel trail which is adjacent to the farm. Easy access to Padstow and beaches. Very well equipped 3 bed 3 bath cottage with lovely views and lovely owners Rachel and Sam, strongly recommended.
Jamie25/08/2020
A lovely stay in the heart of Cornwall. Perfect location for both sides of the coast. Welcome Stranger chippy 8 mins away too which offer Coeliac options! The cabin is full of character and the land beautiful. Rachel & Sam made our stay so easy with plenty of info before our stay and no need for face to face interaction if hoping for a private getaway, however a telephone number offered if any support needed. Many thanks, we hope to stay again in the future! Jamie and Tasha

Comfortable, tranquility in a convenient location A truly fantastic cottage in a lovely, tranquil location. The cottage itself is very well furnished with everything that you need for a comfortable week. And the location is truly magical, with views to stir the soul. I could spend forever sitting on the window seat staring at the view ( see photo).Great location to explore the North Cornish Coast and then return to a peaceful spot at the end of the day
James B20/08/2020

Beautiful hidden gem We stayed in Cobnuts Cottage - a small but lovely spot above the Camel Trail. The cottage sits in its own discrete space so you have a genuine sense of being on your own. The cottage is well kitted out and very pretty. The Camel Trail is a few minutes walk and then you can either stride out to Wadebridge or Bodmin or stroll to the excellent tea rooms to indulge. The Covid restrictions are perfectly manageable but it is worth doing a shop before you arrive. If you do get caught out there are places to eat out or a recommended chippy which is great.
Peter P14/08/2020

superb hoilday everything that we wanted thoroughly recommend peace and quiet ,just what we wanted . Just far enough away from the farm itself but Rachel and Sam were only a phone call or a short walk to their house if needed . Ideal location for Eden Project ,Newquay ,Padstow or a walk to Bodmin and Wadebridge on the Camel Trail .Fishing at the bottom of the field on the river Camel was excellent and Sam was very knowledgable about the river .
Lucy F02/08/2020

Well equipped barn conversion in a stunning setting. The property is situated in a stunning setting, overlooking the river Camel and the local vineyard. Although you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere the location is very convenient for both the north and south coasts as well as visiting the Eden project and other tourist attractions. Bring your bikes as you can access the Camel Trail directly from the property. Rachel and Sam were great at communicating and letting us know about all the precautions they had taken to ensure our stay was safe and I would highly recommend them.

Lovely holiday in a beautiful location We had a wonderful week in Butterwell Cottage. The location is stunning. Loved the long sunny evenings taking in the view of the valley. The accommodation was lovely and spacious for 6. Sam always had time for us and the children loved feeding the chickens. The location is special, 30 mins to either coast for the beach, close to eden project and the farm itself...walking down to the river in the evening and seeing the wildlife, and direct access to the camel trail was amazing. Had a brilliant time exploring the trail on our bikes, absolutely beautiful. Thanks so much!

Idyllic, tranquil riverside location, delightful well appointed cottage; bliss for fisherman and nature lovers alike Perfect location with magical woodland and river bank, managed for wildlife and guests, set amongst farmland on your doorstep with many other attractions nearby by foot, cycle path or short car journey away. Superb standard of self catering accommodation with understated yet professional and attentive customer support and guidance. A charming and special place with a wonderful atmosphere. We booked again for longer before we left!

Kingfisher Cabin was a fantastic place for a getaway to Cornwall. The location is quiet and secluded. You could only hear the sound of the gently flowing River Camel which was very relaxing. We especially enjoyed all the open space in our back garden to be explored at our leisure. We would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Odyssey CX03/07/2020
This is a very special place to stay. The Kingfisher cabin offers every conceivable home comfort you will need on a short or longer term holiday. In the middle of winter the Camel valley is still alive with owls, woodpeckers and an assortment of wildlife - all viewable from your window along with very sought after sea-trout and salmon fishing if that's your thing.Great facilities, good internet access, lovely wood burning stove which keeps you super toastie even on the coldest of days. Very private and secluded - 20 minutes from Wadebridge and the beaches of the North Cornwall coast - yet only 25 minutes from brilliant towns like Fowey on the south coast. Sam and Rachel are very careful to make sure everything is right for your stay and very helpful if you need advice. Highly recommend the lodge.
Federico22/03/2020
This place is a gem in the Cornish countryside. The house is located in a very quiet area next to a lovely river. We found it really spacious and complete with all the amenities necessary for longer stays. The bedroom area was particulary nice with exposed timber beams and a really cozy stove, which kept us nice and warm in the evenings. Sam greeted us on arrival and was really nice and friendly. Would defenitely reccomend to anyone.

Kingfisher cabin is an incredible retreat or and ideal base for exploring this fabulous part of Cornwall. Tom and Rachel are great hosts and the cabin has everything you could need to self cater. The location is stunning and we were lucky enough to be there whilst the flock of Jacob sheep were lambing. Watching the lambs run and jump about gave us hours of amusement. The estate is great to explore with lots of wildlife This is truly a gem of a place to stay

Had a perfect stay at Butterwell. Check in was simple and friendly. The accommodation faultless. Great views, very peaceful. Rachel and Sam are helpful, friendly and approachable if you need them, but there is plenty of information to read in the folder that we didn’t need to question anything at all! Very clean! Stunning setting. Even when it rains it’s a nice place to be. We highly recommend!
Maeve08/03/2020
Rachel and Sam's place is a great place to explore the local area from. Located in the Camel Valley and right next door to the Camel Trail there are plenty of options for walks and bike rides. The house itself is beautiful, with fantastic views and very comfy beds. We had a brilliant time here and would thoroughly recommend it to future travellers.Maeve

The cabin is perfect! Spotlessly clean with a very well-equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, very efficient heating and log burner so it’s super-cosy! The location is ideal for a peaceful weekend of walking and watching the birds in the garden and the sheep and newborn lambs in the paddock was lovely! We will definitely return and have already recommended it to friends!

Great weekend Super little cottage. Perfect for a quiet weekend with everything we needed. Clean, comfortable, easy to book, lovely view and walks . Also, ideal for visiting both north and south coast tourist spots. Wish we had more time and would love to return. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location with walks from the door on Rachel & Sam's land and direct access onto the Camel trail. Situated in it's own valley with wetland, woods and river it really is a very special place to stay.Butterwell Cottage had plenty of room, enough bedrooms and bathrooms for extended family to relax together and was spotlessly clean
Harriet24/02/2020
We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting family, the house was lovely and fully equipped with everything you would need. We had 2 young children with us and the house was brilliant for them with so much space inside and out. The views were also amazing! Rachel and Sam were very quick with responses when we had a couple of queries. Would highly recommend staying here.
Edward18/02/2020
Cobnuts was a great little find, the directions that Rachel gave to find the cottage were spot on, but in the dark it can be a little difficult to see. The cottage is a fantastic spot for exploring all over Cornwall very secluded setting which was lovely to have and just kick back and relax. Would definitely recommend.
Jennifer02/02/2020
A wonderful cabin overlooking the River Camel. Log fires. Everything you need. January weather wasn’t the best for exploring but still idyllic. Spring flowers starting to appear in the hedgerows - must be stunning come the warmer weather. Lots of suggestions in the book - you won’t be short of places to go and see.
Lauren Hughes03/12/2019

Perfect relaxation and tranquility What can I say, if you are looking for a relaxing few days/weeks in Cornwall secluded, dog friendly, cosy, look no further. This place is stunning-so clean and well equipped. We loved our daily walks by the river with our dogs, even has a washing machine which means you can pack fairly light (if you want to) i would literally LIVE here if I could. Amazing stay and wonderful friendly hosts, loved the Neals Yard shop in the bathroom-my favourite! It’s also a really good location in which to explore the many beaches, all within an easy 25 minute drive. But great place to stay away from the crowds in the summer months. You could walk for miles and miles from this place as leads straight into a variety of footpaths. WONDERFUL
Lauren01/12/2019
Thank you so much for a great stay, I’ve already recommended you to a few friends. Simply perfect, just what my husband and I needed. Loved the sheep, beautiful tranquility-priceless. Not sure I have words to describe how clean and cosy the place is, we loved our morning strolls up and down the river with our dogs. Fantastic place in which to explore different places everyday. Warm, cosy secluded and everything we needed to relax. Thank you both so much
Jenny11/10/2019
An amazing little, cosy ‘hideaway’ in beautiful surroundings. The log burner in the lounge/bedroom made for a super warm, relaxing week with our two pups who were made very welcome. Lovely, friendly hosts who made sure we were settled. A wonderful place for that quiet getaway feeling......

Cosy cottage, fantastic location What a wonderful find, in the small village of Nanstallon. Perfectly placed for visiting lots of locations, Padstow, Eden Project, And lots of lovely beaches all 30-40 minutes away. Set in the most beautiful countryside. Lovely walks around the estate and a few minutes walk to the Camel trail. Even when the weather was wet, and boy was it wet, we still enjoyed the views and the cosy log burner. Cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Would definitely visit again.

Butterwell - Great Place to Stay Sam and Rachel are fabulous 'hosts' very helpful, friendly and the house is lovely. Well equipped kitchen, huge rooms with large en suite bathrooms. Utility etc etc. So very well organised particularly if you have dogs - we had three! Surroundings are beautiful. Camel Trail is literally at the bottom of the field where the River Camel runs rapidly...Would highly recommend this property, location and Sam & Rachel!Thank you for a very lovely week.Miranda, Chris, Maddie & Rudi (dogs!!)

What a Gem We stayed at Cobnuts cottage. Beautiful tranquil surroundins. The owners do not intrude, but are there if you need them. Sam sorted out a fishing spot for my husband, beautiful setting, he caught a sea trout. Kingfishers, owls and another raptor which we could not identify. The cottage is lovely , everything you need on hand. If you want somewhere to get away from the rat race this is the place to stay. The weather was ok while we were there , but we used the log burner because we could. Log storage bbq eveything you could ask for.The cottage itself was clean, bed linen of high quality, we will definately return. Friends have asked to come so we will book the bigger house. This place is a must if you need to chill.

Stunning cabin in a stunning location Kingfisher Cabin is absolutely stunning and just as heavenly as it appears in the photos. From the second we arrived, we felt so relaxed and at home and couldn’t believe how breathtaking the views were from the veranda. Inside, the Cabin is really well kitted out with very high quality appliances and soft furnishings. The kitchen has everything you need for self catering and the bathroom is great with an excellent shower. The cosy bedroom has a huge bed and is really comfy too. Rachel was lovely and answered any questions that we had. We even got some eggs from her chickens! Our dogs loved the place too. We can’t wait to go back as it is such a special place and in a great location for exploring Cornwall.

From the second we arrived, we felt so relaxed and at home and couldn’t believe how breathtaking the views were from the veranda.Inside, the Cabin is really well kitted out with very high quality appliances and soft furnishings. The kitchen has everything you need for self catering and the bathroom is great with an excellent shower. The cosy bedroom has a huge bed and is really comfy too.Rachel was lovely and answered any questions that we had. We even got some eggs from her chickens! Our dogs loved the place too. We can’t wait to go back as it is such a special place and in a great location for exploring Cornwall.

Buzzard Barn At Butterwell Stunning cottage in a fantastic location. Everything supplied and all with a beautiful view. We especially loved the window seat with views over the river and vineyard. The host was very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend to others. Perfect location for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.

Butterwell Cottage We have just spent a lovely week staying at Butterwell Cottage and Rachel & Sam were great hosts and the cottage was home from home with all mod cons needed . A great area to discover and near enough to reach beaches on the north and south coast. Many Thanks again for a lovely week

Lovely cabin with beautiful garden We spent one week at Kingfisher Cabin and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin was built by the owner himself and it‘s obvious to see with how much dedication he did it. The interior is of high quality, the kitchen well equipped. It all meets highest standards! But the best is the location of the cabin that offers a stunning view over the valley, the river Camel and the vineyard opposite. We spent almost every evening on the porch, listened to the birds and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. If you have seen the movies of Rosamunde Pilcher, that place might look familiar...The communication with the hosts was always easy and all mails were answered quickly. We already booked for next year🤗.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cobnuts cottage. Upon arrival google maps took us to down the wrong path. Luckily there is good reception in the area, as we were able to phone Sam and Rachel, who were more than happy to guide us. Sam greeted us and gave us a quick introduction to the cottage and we felt very welcomed. The Cobnuts cottage was very clean and we were very impressed. We were also very touched by the thoughtfulness of Sam and Rachel who left us some fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar & oil. It went a long way as after a long drive we were able to make a well deserved cup of tea and snacks. The views are immaculate. We were blown away by the woodlands and the picturesque views and we couldn't wait to explore it!There were plenty of tranquil streams as you walk along, just simply bliss, so peaceful and therapeutic. You could sit and watch it all day long!We loved the log burner and so thoughtful of Sam and Rachel to leave firestarters and wood for us, what a great touch! It created a wonderful evening atmosphere. The nature and wildlife roam around freely here and it's absolutely breathtaking. We saw a variety of birds, butterflies every morning. A photographers paradise and If you're a Londoner like us, then you will appreciate the beauty of nature and wildlife here aswell as having the benefits of good WiFi and 4G. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and look forward to returning next year.

Lovely Cottage in Beautiful Countryside with Otters and Deer as Neighbours. We have just returned from a wondeful week here and saw deer and otter within 5 minutes walk of the house. The cottage is very clean and had everything we needed. The sitting room was a lovely space for us all to relax at the end of the day, we didnt use the log burner , but I guess this would be very welcoming on colder evenings. The enclosed garden was great for the dog (there's also a paddock to have a run off the lead) and then you have the camel trail just across the river. We took bikes and rode to Padstow on the trail ( just over an hour at a leisurely pace) There are also some MTB runs through the woods within 5 minutes ride, well worth a visit. The owner Sam is a keen mountainbiker and will advise you where best to ride. We are definately going to book again here.

An amazing place on the River Camel just as idyllic as the photos suggest. Quiet nights with just the sound of the river winding by the cabin. We ate outside for every meal and enjoyed walking all around the property with great access to the Camel trail. Also a fantastic jumping off point for exploring Cornwall and close to the coast for exploring Padstow, Polperro, or the surrounding country-side.

Absolutely fantastic We have been to Cornwall many times but this has to be our favourite place to stay. The accommodation is superb with everything you could possibly want and even though the weather wasn’t great you could still sit on the veranda and not get wet!! The dogs loved the large enclosed garden to sniff and run around in. The bird life is amazing we saw 22 different species just from the lodge and went out to buy more bird food for the bird feeder. If you need peace and tranquillity this is the place to be.

Idyllic peaceful cottage 🌸 Just got back from a week at cobnuts, beautiful place, just as the photo’s show, perfect for 2, well equipped for just about anything you need, great base for exploring, total stress free week, magical location, wish we had booked 2 weeks, Our bulldog Dora loved it too, really secure beautiful garden, we will definitely be back x
Jean B29/05/2019

Perfect for a couple, lovely for our dogs. We have stayed in Cobnuts on at least 3 occasions. We love the peace and quiet. The dogs are very secure within the front courtyard garden and also in the rear yard where you can dry your washing or just sit in the sun. The cottage is very well equipped and always clean. We enjoy the walks in the private woodland where the squirrels drive our terriers mad, or go out onto the Camel Trail and turn right for the most excellent cream teas at the Camel Trail Tea Garden, or fresh crab salad. The only down side is the lack of a good pub or eating place in the village or within easy walking so you have to drive for dinner out.
Jay Bee23/05/2019

A wonderful cabin in a fantastic location We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kingfisher Cabin. We loved being able to walk from the property into the quiet countryside or on the camel trail....and to the pub! The location is perfect for visiting all parts of Cornwall or for just sitting at the property and enjoying the views. We would most definitely like to visit again soon.

Tranquil and beautiful setting on the Camel River Butterwell is ideally situated near to the facilities of Bodmin (including 4 supermarkets) but within reach of the attractions of Cornwall's North and South Coasts. One can reach Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Fistral, Lerryn and Fowey easily in a day trip and Lanhydrock, NT is almost on the doorstep. At Butterwell you are within walking distance of the Camel Trail and The Camel Valley vineyard. Very comfortable and clean accommodation and wonderful grounds to explore. Highly recommended!
Van13/05/2019

Beautiful location Accommodation at Butterwell Farm excellent. Well equipped and very comfortable with en suite bathrooms for the three bedrooms. Ideal for dog owners as it has an enclosed garden. The countryside around is beautiful and tranquil. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. The hosts were very helpful and our whole party would definitely recommend this holiday home, especially in May when all the bluebells and wild flowers are in bloom.
Neil A20/04/2019

Peaceful If you like to get away from the crowds and enjoy nature, then this is the place for you. A delightful property nestled in its own woodlands with a river. You can roam the woods. Walk the Camel Trial. Or while the hours away in this charming property. All amenities catered for. Wild birds festoon the garden which you overlook from your bedroom. You awake rested to the sound of birdsong. If you need to leave the property the North Cornish coast of Padstow is a short drive away.

Idyllic location for a perfect break away from the frantic world! Lovely cottage, immaculately clean with top quality furnishings and utensils - everything we needed, obviously very well thought out. More spacious than expected, perfect for two people and very cosy with the log burner going. Easy access to the Camel Trail - steam train trips, wine tasting and cream teas!Highlights for us on this trip were going down to the river every day and having the freedom to roam around Sam and Rachel's nature reserve, enjoying the flora and fauna. The visitors to the bird feeder in the well-kept garden kept us entertained every day, over 10 varieties of small birds and our particular favourite, the greater spotted woodpecker. Very highly recommended.

Luxury Countryside Retreat Kingfisher.Beautiful property in peaceful surroundings. Friendly and helpful owners leading up to but unintrusive during our stay. Short drive to some nice food in the area. Thoughtful touches like leaving fresh milk in the fridge and preparing the log fire for our arrival added to the experience.Close to the river, a short walk from the Camel Valley Vineyard (highly recommended, if pricey, wine) and plenty of wildlife nearby if you're into that sort of thing.Recommend driving the couple of miles extra to the nicer pub/restaurants in the evenings. Quite a few nearby are chains and feel a bit same-ey. Would stay again.

Amazing stay We stayed over the February half term and were bowled over by the property and location. The barn itself was immaculate and just as good, if not better, than the photos. It was spacious and well thought out and had everything you needed. The location is amazing with breathtaking scenery right on your doorstep. The camel trail is a 5 minute walk away through woods and over a beautiful river. We had a dog and we were abe to let her off for the entire walk along the trail (but beware of cyclists at busier times). Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this property. Both Sam and Rachel were so helpful and we hope ro return in the future for more exploring.

Perfect Wow - what a lovely cottage in a great peacful location. Hosts were amazing, place spotless and really cozy and well equipped with fab views. Located midway along the Camel trail and having direct access to it make Buzzard Barn the perfect place to explore the area by bike. We rode with kids (aged 8 and 6) all the way to Padstow in approx 3 hours. I would recommend Buzzard barn to anyone.

Very enjoyable stay Realy enjoyed our short stay at Kingfisher Cabin. The accomomodation is of high standard and very cosy. The location is great, with easy access to the Camel Trail and nice country walks beyond. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We felt very relaxed after our stay at this peaceful setting. Would love to come and stay again one day!
Tanya27/01/2019
We stayed a couple of nights at Cobnuts and had a great time. The location was idyllic - in an undisturbed, peaceful spot, with land to walk on directly outside. The secure garden, out of view of people, was also perfect for our dog. Despite giving the feeling of isolation, the property is not very far from Nanstallon, Bodmin and the Moor. Cobnuts itself was more spacious than we expected and very clean. The wood burner and logs provided were a great touch, and cosy after a day of walking.
tms55415/01/2019

Idyllic venue Buzzard Barn is really lovely. It is roomy but cosy, with a vast bay window looking out over the Camel Valley, the river and the vineyard on the other side of the valley. The garden gives access straight on to the Camel Trail which is great for dog walking, but even in January there were lots of inconsiderate cyclists who shot straight past us very closely and at speed, so I dread to think what it is like in peak season. Buzzard Barn is peaceful and feels private and remote but is not too far from the coast, the moors and Wadebridge. It is extremely clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need, even binoculars. The barn is stylishly decorated and very comfortable. My dog and I loved the wood burning stove which was laid and ready to go when we arrived. The owners were so helpful with any queries I had and had provided lots of information about the local area, pubs and places of interest. The shower was amazing! Really powerful and easy to operate. No endless fiddling to get and maintain the right temperature and flow. Great.I had such a good time here I decided to extend my stay, and would definitely consider going back here again.

Our week's stay at Kingfisher was pretty much perfect from start to finish. The house is ideally located overlooking a secluded stretch of the Camel River but with easy access to the Camel Trail. The house itself is comfortable and easy to heat, and totally convenient and enjoyable to live in, all neccessary instructions being clearly provided. Plenty of wood is provided for the amazing wood-burning stove. Sam and Rachel are kind, flexable and helpful hosts, always on hand if needed. We reccommend cycling or walking further up the trail to Blisland with its wonderful church and pub. Thanks, Rachel and Sam for giving us such a peaceful and memorable stay.Ian and Alyona

Stunning Location! The location of Buzzard barn is simply stunning, with absolutely beautiful views of the camel valley & great walks right on your doorstep. There are lots of great dog friendly Cornish pubs nearby & top class restaurants in Padstow, which is just a short drive away. The property itself is extremely comfortable for a family of six & very tastefully decorated. Beds are very comfy & great showers in both bathrooms. It had everything we needed for our Christmas break. The owners Rachel & Sam had even put up a Christmas tree for us which was a wonderful touch. We will definitely stay in Buzzard barn again!
Chris16/12/2018
Buzzard Barn was an ideal retreat for exploring Cornwall, in particular to get to Eden Project early doors. The Barn was beautiful but also relaxing and cosy- the weather was awful whilst we were staying so we really appreciated the fact that the fire had already been laid for us. A great place to stay.
Andrew04/11/2018
My wife and I had a great short break for the weekend, the cabin was equally as stunning as the surrounding area. The ability to open up the bi-fold doors, sit back and relax to the sounds of the river below followed by the log burner in the evenings was amazing. We'll be back for certain but for more than just 2 nights next time!

Perfect UK staycation Returned home from a 7 day stay at Butterwell Farm South Wing 3 days ago. The cottage is located in the wonderful picturesque Camel Estuary. Close to the town of Bodmin but equidistant to many attractions and amenities. The cottage itself was perfect for us (party of 6) cosy and nicely furnished. Rachel & Sam were the perfect hosts, very friendly, professional and extremely helpful. We will definitely aim to revisit next year and possibly stay for two weeks and try out one of the other cottages on site. Perfect location for nature lovers, fishing enthusiasts etc. Lovely easy walks by the river each evening. Perfect holiday in every way.

Happy to recommend Enjoyed a lovely week at Butterwell South Wing. We received a friendly welcome from Sam and Rachel, who were there if needed throughout the week but not obtrusive. The cottage was clean and comfortable and perfect for our mature party (55 and over), made up of my brother, my sister, my husband and myself (not forgetting our two dogs). With three bedrooms, all with TVs and ensuite/bathroom facilities. The two upstairs are roomy, the master is actually huge with stunning views which can be enjoyed from a bay seating area. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs with space for a game while humans marvelled at the stunning scenery. From the garden we watched the grapes being harvested at the neighbouring vineyard the other side of the Camel valley. We were free to roam the paths along the private stretch of river, exploring the woodland. A gate leads directly to the Camel Trail, where we walked both into Bodmin and Wadebridge, enjoying a pub lunch enroute. There are also cream teas to be had a short distance along the trail, not forgetting the steam train. Days out were all within 25 scenic miles and included visits to Boscastle, Tintagel, Padstow, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Looe, Polperro. The cliff staircase at Carnewas at Bedruthan are well worth a visit as is the NT cafe (recommend the pasties and chocolate cake, well we had walked down and up the steps!). Everywhere we went the dogs were welcomed which was great. Would definitely recommend Butterwell and hope to return one day.

Simply perfect.... Always know you are on to a good thing when, apart from the initial hello, you don't have any contact with the owners at all!. ....we stayed in south wing which had everything we wanted and more. ...lovely decor, comfortable beds, fab showers, log burner😊,well equipped kitchen, and a well thought out information booklet which answered all questions we may have had! .....and that's just the inside. ...the outside and grounds are simply beautiful...it was a perfect base for us to explore padstow, port isaac, Newquay, eden project, charlestown. It is hidden away in a peaceful area which we loved and would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic location and accomodation. Buzzard Barn is in a wonderful location with fantastic views over the Camel valley and out onto the vineyard. It is within easy reach of the coast and towns we wanted to visit and is very peaceful. The cottage was very clean and had been recently refurbished to a very high standard. Beds were super comfy and it was extremely well equipped. Love the upside down layout which makes use of he lovely views. it was safe for our dog as had an enclosed garden and there were great walks from your door. All in all a great place to stay and we will definitely be going back.

Mr We have had the most wonderful time in Cornwall, staying at Butterwell Farm. The accommodation was superb, in an amazing location and situated conveniently to many attractions and places of interest. The Camel river and Camel trail run at the end of the property and are excellent for walking or biking. Another fabulous place to visit is the Camel Vally Vineyard, which is easily reached just off the Camel Trail. You can either tour the vineyard or just enjoy a glass or two on the terrace, overlooking some stunning scenery back to Butterwell Farm. The accommodation itself was excellent. Plenty of room and furnished to a very high standard. It was a real home from home with everything you could want or need. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sam and Rachel were on hand to help, if needed and Sam went the extra mile, helping us to fit a car battery after ours died. Nothing was too much trouble and it was great that they were just next door should we need anything. You must try the fresh eggs from the hens. They were delicious! This is without a doubt the best place we have stayed in Cornwall and we would not hesitate to stay again in the future.Thank you Sam, Rachel and Jack.

Very pleasant stay We liked Kingfisher cottage. It was very well built and laid out with underfloor heating in the bathroom and attractive red kitchen units. Shower was good as were the porch and picnic table. Our dog enjoyed it and exploring it’s large grassy enclosure. We hired bikes to do 1/2 of the Camel trail which was fun and also hired a boat in Fowey. St Ives and Padstow were busy madhouses but we found other more peaceful coves and even went swimming one day. The river Camel was nice to see & hear in the distance from the cottage. We had a teenage daughter with us that we put up first in the main house B&B for a few days and then later on a cot bed in our kingfisher living room. Zero traffic noise and fresh air was enjoyed. Hosts were nice and were patient with my inability to figure out the touchpad of the electric oven. (Our teenager figured it out in the end) We brought our own Apple TV and and HDMI cable and that allowed us to see Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and ITunes movies. I also brought my Nesprssso machine. I suggest both of those (or similar - a chromecast?) might be good future additions to the cottage. My Kiwi partner felt it had a relaxed "New Zealand like" atmosphere. Very enjoyable

A home away from home This fantastic little cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway and really felt like a home away from home (we even have the same lampshades). The kitchen is very well equipped, with everything you would need to cook a full dinner or for a BBQ. The bedroom/living room was very comfortable and cosy and the bed was a dream to sleep in! The garden has stunning views over the countryside and nearby Camel Valley vineyard - a leisurely 20 minute walk and definitely worth a visit. There is plenty to explore nearby and the Camel Trail Tea Garden (further along the trail) is also a lovely treat. The comprehensive information pack was greatly appreciated and we visited some great restaurants on the back of it (Stepping Stones and Bridge Bistro in Wadebridge we would highly recommend)We look forward to returning and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside again!

Our 3rd stay in Kingfisher Cabin We have just returned home from our 3rd stay in Kingfisher Cabin - we love it !The weather was very kind to us so we had a very relaxing week just chilling out on the decking - the only sounds were the birds and sheep - occasionally interrupted by the opening of another bottle of beer ! As it is so comfortable we never feel the need to venture far - we walked over to the Camel Vineyard and enjoyed a glass of wine whilst admiring the view back over to Butterwell. We also walked along the Camel Trail to the closest pub - The Borough Arms where they do a good pint. Thanks to Sam and Rachel for making our stay so enjoyable. Also thank you to Rick for our many discussions on fishing tactics - 3 brown trout caught !Already looking forward to our next visit!

Peaceful, relaxing country retreat This is a wonderful spacious place to stay for a quiet countryside retreat! It has nearby access to the Camel Trail for cycling or walking. For nature lovers there are mown paths near the river and in the woodland where we spotted bats, a hedgehog and a heron. Didn't see, but we did hear, an owl and baby otters. Butterwell's central location makes it 30-40 minutes drive to either coast for visiting the many attractions in the nearby area. We visited the Witch Museum at Boscastle, Eden Project, St Michaels Mount & Penzance, Kayaking at Cornish Coastal Adventures at Port Quinn, Tintagel Castle & Trebarwith Strand beach and cycled the whole Camel Trail from Bodmin to Padstow.
Eddie721004/07/2018

Hidden Gem We stayed in the South Wing back in April which we thoroughly enjoyed for the week. The location was excellent as it’s so close to Bodmin which has everything you may require from a town (7 minutes from cottage to be precise as I timed it). The wing itself has absolutely everything you could think of to make it a home away from home, it was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and lots of information available to help you plan your visit. The massive Log burner and log shed was an added bonus. The owners made us feel very welcome and the use of the driveway to unpack the car was very useful. The cottage itself couldn’t be in a better location as it’s on the actual river Camel which is through the gate at the bottom of the garden and just over the river bridge is the famous Camel Trail for those walkers/cyclists which is great. Forgot to mention the Camel Vineyards are around a 10 minute walk from the cottage also for the wine lovers.Overall we had an amazing stay and the location is ideal to be anywhere in Cornwall really with around 50 mins max. The famous Padstow and Rock are very close and I must say they were our favourite place we visited. You can also see Doc Martins house in the nearby Port Isaac. We had an amazing Stay from start to finish and are looking at availability for next year for another possible visit.Highly Recommend The Towers Family 👍🏼

Perfect holiday Well what can I say, I've stayed on this estate a few times over the years and in their different cottages, I always knew what I was in for and once again brilliant, the cottage was great and had everything and more you could possibly need and the location is perfect. We saw so many different species of birds and even got to see one of the woodpeckers drinking from the river camel , Rachel and Sam are very friendly and welcoming and that's it . if you don't need anything your left alone to enjoy this gorgeous setting, kind of guess you could say we highly recommend it.
mikeandlynne3229/05/2018

lovely accomodation with beautiful views across the Camel valley well situated and well equiped accomodation, wonderful views across the Camel valley with direct access to the Camel trail with a tearoom just 10 minutes walk along the trail and for train buffs just a further romp to the Bodmin and Wenford steam railway.Very peaceful and quiet with just a short stroll to the river to sit and chill out The six of us had a wonderful comfortable weeks stay

Beautifully situated in the Camel Valley within its own 40 acre estate Butterwell is beautifully situated in the peaceful Camel Valley opposite the Camel Valley Vineyard. It has fishing rights on the Camel within its own 40 acre estate and direct access to the Camel Trail for walking and cycling. It is well situated for visiting Cornwall's North Coast (Padstow, Polzeath, Newquay, etc.) and the South Coast (Fowey etc.) as well as local attractions such as Lanhydrock House, NT. The property is dog friendly and has 3 double bedrooms and bathrooms. The property was very clean on arrival and is well equipped.Close to Bodmin for supermarkets and shops.

Perfect dog friendly location We had a lovely week staying at Cobnuts, an idyllic cottage away from it all. The perfect location for exploring Cornwall. If you are a bird watcher you will be in seventh heaven, the wildlife was at its best night never seen such hungry birds! Would definitely recommend this cottage.

What can you say. The cabin is just as great as the pictures and description lead you to believe. The view is awesome, it's peaceful, you're surrounded by nature and it feels very private. For us it was a first trip with our 4 month old so we wanted some mod-cons like a washing machine and bath. The cabin delivered this and so much more. There was very little we needed that wasn't provided. The kitchen had everything. Unfortunately on our visit we did have a few gloomy days but the cabin was cosy and warm throughout. The bed was comfortable and the cabin roomy enough. The outside space was ideal for our older dog to mooch around in while feeling he was safe and secure. We definitely didn't want him wandering off to chase the lambs around but the fencing was well up to keeping him in. The location was great too for us, we visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Port Isaac, the Eden Project, Padstow and Lanhydrock House. Not only was all this relatively close by but on one day we stayed at home and went for a walk along the Camel Trail before having a great cream tea at the cafe ten minutes walk away as mentioned in the very thorough and useful guide provided by the host. Another top tip of theirs was the Wild Bake pizza available from a local lay by on a Tuesday night. Cooked in a wood fired oven in a horse box and delicious. So, all in all we can't recommend it enough. We didn't want to leave and will surely be back.

Peaceful and charming location!! Booked the cobnuts cottage last minute for the Easter weekend. Only to arrive and find such a beautiful charming cottage. On arrival we were met by Sam to run through some information. There was a visitor’s book full of all tourist information anyone would need to have a fabulous stay. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Location was ideal for visiting various beaches and villages across Cornwall. I have visited Cornwall many times over the years and have not stayed in such a peaceful spot before. The gated garden area was ideal for our two little dogs; there was enough space in the kitchen for their beds, which is always a worry.Very clean accommodation and loved the higgildy pickldy open plan rooms, and could not ask for anything better for two people. There were enough heaters and during the evenings we used the log fire which was so relaxing.Perfect time to recharge the batteries from our stressful life.

Pet-Friendly Peaceful Cabin We stayed for a week in the Kingfisher Cabin at Butterwell Farm. This was well appointed with a smart fitted kitchen, a bathroom including shower with a heated floor and one bedroom with a super king size bed. The cabin also has WiFi, a television and a log burner in addition to the radiators. There are enclosed grounds and a hose to wash down mucky puppies. The situation of the farm is ideal. It sits above the Camel River, which be reached with 2 minutes walk. Ten minutes will take you to the Camel Trail, which is an easy 8 miles walk to Wadebridge and a total of 16 miles Padstow. This is a level trail with a tarmac surface that can be enjoyed with your dog, on a bike or even on horseback. There are no camels! The coastal towns of Rock and Padstow are located within 20 mins drive offering scenic walks and excellent food. Bodmin is a short drive from the cottage and has supermarkets and garages in case you need to shop.We had a splendid 50th birthday stay. Everyone including our dogs enjoyed the cabin, the grounds, the walks, the food, the scenery and the wildlife. If I was picky then the narrow Cornish roads might be a challenge for the anxious driver. Of course, that comes with the territory.Thank you Rachel & Sam. The best that I can say is that we hope to return maybe later this year. It doesn’t get better than that.
Tracey11/03/2018
We have just spent 3 nights at the beautiful Kingfisher Cabin. What an absolute gem. It had everything we could possibly have wanted, apart from abit more dry weather which is just unlucky. The cabin was so well equipped and cosy, especially with the woodburner lit.We will be back for sure. Thank you to Sam and Rachel x

Me and my friend have just spent and amazing long weekend in the Kingfisher cabin, and this was probably one of the best holidays we've had in recent years. The cabin sits in an amazing site, with great view over River Camel, rich wildlife, and a peaceful atmosphere. It's been great to switch off and just listen to all the sounds that nature produce, very relaxing. The cabin itself is well equipped to make anyone's stay cosy, and Rachel & Sam are very helpful, we really liked that there were some helpful messages and info scattered around the cabin, and also some maps and leaflets left for us, displaying the local amenities. All in all, we've really enjoyed our stay, and can only recommend for anyone who would like to have a relaxing weekend, or just interested in nature and hiking!
Pete12/12/2017
A very clean and modern cabin in a beautiful location. Although on the same site as the main house you're easily far enough away for all the privacy you'd want, we didn't see anyone our entire trip. The modern features are a great addition to the cosy feel of the cabin, especially with the log burner. The cabin garden is fully fenced and secure for dogs, with lovely grounds for walks. We couldn't fault either the cabin, location or the hosts.
iantoSouthWalesU_K_01/12/2017

Very Nice Location Stayed here before and must say it ticks all the right boxes. We stayed as a fishing party and were able to fish all day before retiring to one of the local watering holes for an enjoyable evening meal. Sam and Rachel plus Jack are very good hosts andthey are very hard workers too. There is plenty to do locally so make sure to leave some time for visiting the town and surrounding areas. We shall be back

perfect for an-away-from-it-all break Kingfisher Cabin is set in a stunning location on the side of a valley - with a river running through it. It is wonderfully peaceful and secluded. The cabin is fitted out with all that one could wish for in the way of furnishing. storage and cooking facilities. The owners have provided everything that you need in the way of everyday items - dishwasher tablets, hand soap, etc etc. Only towels are not provided. We have stayed in many holiday rental cottages, and can honestly say that Kingfisher is up there amongst the very best.

Peaceful stay in a tranquil valley. Beautiful, peaceful location. Everything you need for a stressless break. Good location for exploring the best of Cornwall. Even with the rain, still an idyllic place to stay. Make sure you take or buy plenty of bird seed, greedy bunch and that doesn't include the squirrel. All round good break.

Superb accommodation in privacy and seclusion next to the Camel river. Wonderful. We sat for hours watching the birds and listening to the river. Wished we could have stayed longer. Small shop a 5 minute drive away for milk etc. Easy access to the Camel Trail. Great accommodation in a secluded spot

A lovely, well thought out, beautifully appointed oak wood cabin overlooking the delightful River Camel in a totally peaceful environment, yet easily accessible just a couple of miles from Bodmin. The wood burner and Weber are brilliant add-ons, and the high tech cooker/oven works just fine!

Hands down one of the best airbnb places we have ever stayed! The cabin is set in a tranquil rural valley overlooking the River Camel. It's perfectly private with only the sound of the river and wildlife to be heard through the huge double doors that open out onto the deck. The perfect spot for a glass of wine in the sun! Easy drive to just about all the attractions to be seen in Cornwall. Can't recommend staying here enough!

We have just returned from a lovely week in the Kingfisher cabin. Rachel was a great host with easy and fast communication right from initial booking, offering us a high chair and play pen for our 9 month old baby. When we arrived we were met by Rachel who showed us around the cabin and gave us some info on the area. After that we were left to ourselves but had Rachel's mobile number should we need anything. The cabin is amazing and the setting would be hard to beat. It's within walking distance of the Camel Trail which is great for walks and cycling. We especially loved being able to walk to the vineyard and a lovely tea room. But it's within easy driving distance of other attractions. The cabin itself was equipped with everything you could possibly need and decorated to a high standard. There was even a little guidebook inside which had great recommendations including tried and tested restaurants. We can't wait to return.

Excellent place to stay for a family The location was excellent - next door to the Camel Trail, very close to the Eden Project and it was easy to reach lots of beaches for body boarding. Despite the wet weather we really enjoyed our stay and found plenty of things to keep us busy. The house was comfortable, clean and very well appointed. My grandson loved having a television in his bedroom! The information provided about the area was very thorough and helpful.

Absolutley wonderful If it's peace quite and fab location your looking for this is the place, the bird song is so lovely and that is about the loudest thing you hear, easy access to north and south coast and all that has to offer and then back maybe take a lovely stroll by the Camelford river this has it all and the cottage is comfortable and has every thing you want.

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been! Tha barn has everything you need, but the most incredible thing is the fantastic view on the river Camel valley. For us was just like entering a dream. Our daughters loved the nature all around: we had a garden just for us, which is absolutely beautiful, but they could also go exploring all the area by themself safely. Rachel and Sam are fantastic hosts: they gave us all the information we might need and Rachel was so kind with our kids showing them all the animals of the farm, their dogs, the chickens... what a memorable holiday in Cornwall. The only negative thing that I can sincerly point out, is that we could spend only 3 days there. We really didn't want to leave... but we will come back, with more time to explore all the region! Thank Rachel, for everything.

Lovely cottage with delightful views We've just returned from a week at Buzzard barn. The cottage is located a couple of miles from Bodmin, has beautiful views from the lounge and spacious kitchen towards the Camel river and surrounding countryside and makes an excellent base from which to explore the local area. We visited Burgh Island, Plymouth, Newquay ,Padstow, Port Issac and the Eden project which were all fairly easy to get to. We brought our Border Collie with us and there were plenty of nice walks from the cottage. A 15 minute walk from the cottage is the Camel Valley winery were you can sit on the terrace and enjoy a glass of wine which is handy as there isn't really a local pub nearby. They also do wine tastings at 5pm on Wednesdays for £15 which was a first for me but one which i'd recommend. Also about 15 mins away is a tea room which serve good light lunches and have plenty of seating outside in the gardens. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Buzzard barn and would recommend it if your looking for a peaceful holiday that's ideally located for exploring. Just a final tip, there are extensive roadworks going on in Bodmin so please follow the directions that are sent by the owners and don't try and tackle the centre of Bodmin with the sat nav as I made the mistake of doing ! If you're thinking of taking bikes the camel trail is just down the road which is ideal for cycling. We hope to be back very soon.

We had a perfect stay at Kingfisher Cabin - perfect location within driving distance of many attractions but also secluded enough for some peace and quiet. The cabin is beautifully done and there's clearly been a lot of thought in making it a home away from home. It's well equipped and very modern. One of the main plus points is the setting, its a beautiful location with easy access to the camel trail. We loved our stay in Kingfisher Cabin and look forward to going back.

Excellent Location stunning, acres of land to explore and the lovely river Camel on the doorstep, not to mention the Camel trail and of course the Vineyard. Cottage fully met our expectations and the log fire was most welcome. We will most certainly visit again as 1 week is not enough to explore this area.
Jill W22/03/2017

Cosy and quiet Had a very relaxing few days in this charming cosy cottage. The log fire was lovely to cuddle up in front of with a glass of wine. Location was ideal for trips out to Padstow Newquay and Port Isacc. Very dog friendly our two loved it. Perfect time to recharge the batteries.
Pioneer292313/03/2017

fabulous This was a perfect location to visit the very best beaches in Cornwall Crantock Porthtowen, and Holywel to name just a few, it was also ideal for visiting Padstow and Port Isac.We have visited Cornwall on numerous occasions and we agreed this was the best location and cottage. Our 2 large leonbergers had a fantastic time and it was great having a secure garden, for them. The birdlife visiting the garden was amazing, we hope to return soon.

Stunning cabin in the perfect location with exceptional hosts. We loved our short stay in Kingfisher Cabin. The property itself far exceeds any other self catering property we've seen in terms of size, decor and facilities. The size of the property is impressive but it still feels remarkably cosy especially with log burner lit! The views from the cabin are amazing(added bonus of newborn lambs!) and the camel trail is an easy 10 mins walk away with Bodmin a 10 mins drive. The surrounding land is a paradise. Privately owned by Butterwell, we walked for hours and encountered only wildlife. My wife and I cannot wait to get back. Rachel and Sam have created a little peice of heaven on earth. They say the fishing is pretty special too! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

peace and quiet yet not far from anywhere This place is brilliant. out of the way from everyday life with very little interruption. The walk into Bodmin or the other way to Wadebridge is absolutely stunning. We saw Deers herons ducks & geese to name a bit of the wildlife. The setting for this place is perfect as your not overlooked by anyone or disturbed.the property is perfect for a couple to just getaway and enjoy the beautiful countryside without having to drive anywhere. the place itself is well thought out and has everything you need for a comfortable pleasant stay.We could not recommend this place strongly enough. IT,S BEAUTIFUL !!!!!Were always looking for outstanding places to stay and this little gem certainly doesn't disappoint . will revisit here one day soon !!!!

This place ticks all the boxes Butterwell Farm is one of the best located Accomodation Lets in the South West. If you are here during the Summer months it is ideal for beach hunting as there are so many around the area. As it is dog friendly you don't need to leave your pet at home and they can come along too. During Autumn and Winter months there are a selection of Pubs/Restaurants local to the farm so you will not be short of eating holes. Fishing on the river Camel is Fab and you can also take a 20min walk to the Camel Valley vineyard which is just across the valley. Accomodation is Great and the hosts very friendly people. Well worth a visit. !!

Perfect for our annual family holiday. This was our fourth holiday at the Butterwell South Wing, so do I need to say more? For our family it is in the perfect location to explore Cornwall and the location is just amazing, situated in the Camel Valley with a private stretch of the Camel river running through. There is also access to the Camel trail from the cottage and fishing onsite. Beautiful country walks and pure peace and solitude is available if that's what you desire with plenty of wildlife to observe.Rachel and Sam are always very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I can highly recommend this cottage for a perfect holiday in Cornwal.

We had a wonderful time at Kingfisher Cabin. The cabin is wonderful, cosy and has everything (and more) you need for a relaxing stay. Rachel was always very helpful. The surrounding is beautiful and the sheep are greeting you in the morning. We can clearly recommend staying with Rachel & Sam.

Excellent stay in countryside cottage Cobnuts is an excellent cottage in a superb location. On your doorstep you have the Camel river perfect for walks and watching wildlife. A few minutes away is the Camel valley trail perfect for walks and cycling. Being in a central location you can drive easily to both the north and south coasts and Padstow is a short trip awayThe cottage is well equipped and cosy for a couple with great info on local area. Would recommend several local pubs at St Mabyn and the Earl of St Vincent definitely worth a visit

Our week staying at Kingfisher Cabin has been a fantastic retreat away from the daily hustle & bustle. If like us you are a keen wildlife and nature enthusiast then you can't get a better place to embrace Nature's pace and immerse yourself in the wildlife that literally flows past you . Kingfisher Cabin is a fantastic rural getaway, equipped with all the modern comforts & great location for the perfect getaway. Highly recommended 🙂

A real gem. Kingfisher Cabin has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Well-equipped, spacious and comfy, it is in a quiet setting with great views of the River Camel and its valley. On warm evenings we either opened the folding glass doors overlooking the river to let in the sun or had sundowners on the verandah with the same view. On the one colder evening of our stay the log burner kept us cosy. Sam and Rachel deserve congratulations on a well-designed, high-quality building and tasteful, stylish furnishings - and for taking good care of us throughout our stay. We have already booked the Cabin for a fishing/walking/cycling/exploring holiday next year.
Kevin S27/09/2016

We loved it so much, we've just booked for next year Butterwell Farm offers a slice of cornish magic. It's a hidden gem, nestled on the slopes of the Camel Valley. The welcome, the accomodation, the obvious passion for the wildlife - Sam and Rachel are amazing hosts - making myself, my wife and two young daughters (4 and 6) feel instantly at home.We stayed for two weeks in the South Wing and found the location to be spot on for anyone with a young family looking to explore the delights that Cornwall has to offer. The accomodation itself was great with the bonus of a room on the ground floor (ideal for aging parents, who visited for a few days). The grounds of Butterwell Farm are probably the best/quickest "work de-stresser" I've ever encountered - quiet evening strolls along the river bank are highly recommended - my eldest observed her first deer, fox, jumping fish and otter (she was over the moon). My only regret... I didn't get to take Sam up on his offer of a fishing lesson (something I will rectify next year).Top marks for a top location run by a top couple.

A little piece of heaven Stayed for a week with my partner and two dogs and we all absolutely loved it! The location of the lovely cottage is fantastic. Such a beautiful and peaceful environment and with complete privacy yet central to lots of lovely areas to visit too. We will definitely be back as it really is a hidden gem. Can't believe how lucky we were to find it.

Cobnuts was a lovely place to stay, it was very clean and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The information pack contained lots of great information about the surrounding areas including dog friendly beaches. The directions to cobnuts were spot on and we couldn't have wished for a better stay.
Geoff R12/09/2015

An excellent property in a beautiful valley This is probably the best self catering holiday property that we have used. Our accommodation was in the South Wing of the large farmhouse. There was plenty of space for us, our son and his wife, their 2 boisterous 3 year old kids and our crazy Jack Russell pup. All of the house was well decorated, extremely clean and very well appointed. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of area outside where the dog could run free.Sam & Rachel are very friendly hosts. The farm is located in the Camel River valley and there is direct access, through the woodlands to the Camel trail. The Camel Valley Vineyard and Tea rooms are in easy walking distance

We had a lovely time at the Butterwell South Wing. Rachael and Sam were very welcoming and the accommodation was great! The house is very cosy, clean, private and is situated in fantastic surroundings which were great to walk in. We'd have no hesitation in recommending staying here to anyone. Big positives were the log fire and the beautiful location. Also the close proximity to the Camel Valley vineyard which we visited during our stay!

Fabulous location. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at cobnuts, so much so we didn't want to leave. It was our first visit to cornwall and have to say it was brilliant. We didnt know that the sea around England could be so blue. Its brown up north where we are from. Cobnuts was better than expected. Great for the two of us, plenty of room ,warm and a comfy bed. Its great that they allow two dogs as so many don't. The location was absolutely stunning. the Camel Valley is beautifulWadebridge was very pleasant . Lovely upmarket town. Rock had a great dog friendly beach..Camel trail is just across the field. Lots of bike hire places at either end of trail.lovely beaches with yellow sand, blue sea and views that make you want to stay forever, , quiet narrow lanes and lots of places to eat. Cornwall is relatively quiet away from the coast. We drove for hours along narrow winding roads hardly meeting anyone. We would love to return to Cobnuts and Cornwall.
daniel c10/05/2015

great and cosy place to stay. All what you need in a holiday The cottage is set in such an ideal place not that far from all the places to visit in cornwall. It is great for people who love to walk and cycle as the camel trail is on the doorstep. It is so well presented and so nice to have a garden and patio to yourself which is so quiet. A must to stay at and not to be missed.
Josephine05/05/2015
We Over our stay at Butterwell Farm. The cottage joins the main building but we had absolute privacy at all times. Located in a beautiful valley, Butterwell was really quiet and we had a restful break over the BH. We walked to the local pub via the Camel trail and enjoyed running with the dogs. We would like to come back. Highly recommended. Sam and Rachel were really friendly too. Thank you.

Amazing break Had a wonderful bank holiday weekend at Butterwell Farm. Weather was not great but had amazing walks through land surrounding property and along Camel trail to local pub. Also had two trips to coast which is only 20 minutes away. Property is quite, peaceful, warm, spacious and well furnished. Rachel and Sam were extremely friendly and approachable. Will definitely be back!
Barrie D25/04/2015

Wonderful location and facilities I stayed in the buzzard barn at Butterwell farm with 4 mates (we are all over 50). The grounds are stunning with the camel river running through the property only 50 yards from the barn and the view across to the Camel Valley winery (worth a tour) was so tranquil. Whilst the fishing is exceptional, we were interested in Mountain biking. This was fantastic- we were lead on 3 full day routes encompassing Padstow, Bodmin moor and the Cardinham leisure park, which has purpose built MTB and walking trails. We were on trails pretty much the whole time including the camel trail which stretches for 10+ miles in both directions. This allowed us to see just how many natural attractions thee are, not to mention the e cel lent restaurants and pubs that we visited. Sam and Rachel looked after us brilliantly, supplying a comprehensive breakfast every morning and nothing seems to be. Too much trouble for them.
Sandfordf11/04/2015

Fantastic short break Really impressed with the accommodation, it's got pretty much everything you need for a comfortable holiday stay. The owners have gone that extra mile to ensure that the property is in very good condition with the furnishings to match. The location is great as it overlooks the River Camel and the local vineyard, it's also within easy walking or bike riding distance of the camel trail, so make sure you take your bikes. It's about a 30 minute drive to Padstow and about the same to Port Isaac.Top tip would be to take your slippers as the floors are laminate or tile so are cold on your feet and can be slippy with socks on. The only way they could improve on the experience is to offer Wi Fi.Would love to return to the property again.
Paola & Felix05/04/2015
Thanks Rachel and Sam, we had an amazing time in Cornwall. At our arrival we found a very clean and tidy cottage beautifully located with an amazing view over the river Camel and the Camel Valley Vineyard which is definitely worth a visit! The location was exactly what we were looking for: in the middle of nowhere but still well connected with the next supermarket just a 10 min drive away. It was also the ideal spot to explore that part of Cornwall with the Eden Project and the Coast just 30 min away.Absolutely recommended and we hope to come back soon.
Liz01/04/2015
BEAUTIFUL! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Butterwell and hope to be back really soon to see it in the sunshine. Sadly we didn't get to meet Rachel and Sam as they were away but they kept in touch via text to ensure we were all ok. Butterwell is the most beautiful place. Even though it rained for most of our visit, we were still amazed by the beauty of the surroundings. The views across the grounds and the meandering River Camel are unforgettable and direct access from the grounds to the Camel Trail made for great walks. The house was cosy and comfortable and extremely well equipped. We absolutely loved our stay here in such a great location. Close to both north and south coasts and the Eden Project. Thoroughly recommend a visit there. Thank you Rachel and Sam for sharing your wonderful place with us. We will be back.

peace and tranquility We stayed as a family in the South Wing which comprises three bedrooms, three bathrooms, lounge, kitchen diner, utility room. The woodburning stove is welcome after a cold day out and the views across and down the Camel river were just beautiful. There are 40acres in which to walk. The property is quite removed from the coast but it is so tranquil and Rachel and Sam are lovely people. We will return with our dogs who enjoyed the enclosed garden.
Timothy20/02/2015
Stayed at Buzzards Barn with my family over 4 days of half term. You will be hard pushed to find a prettier location in Cornwall with stunning views across the valley and woodland and river on your back garden. Property is fantastic with great open fire and very spacious bedrooms and kitchen. Kids loved the location and were occupied throughout! Very close to Eden Project and Jamaica Inn as well as the scary Bodmin Jail! A real jewel of a property. Sam was the perfect host and a lovely guy!
Lynne H02/10/2014

Brilliant holiday had by all! We stayed in Butterwell and all the family had a lovely holiday including the dogs. Very clean and spacious. Quiet and peaceful. A little out of the way to the main resorts but worth that extra mileage for the tranquility. Would definitely recommend and would certainly book again without a doubt.
