You’re in for a treat, there are some fantastic restaurants in Cornwall! The sheer number and variety of great places to eat is impressive. Fresh-from-the harbour seafood, delicious Cornish Cream Teas, incredible local produce, the famous Cornish pasty…the list goes on! St Kew Inn (our favourite): 10 miles. St Kew, PL30 3HB, 01208 841 259, www.stkewinn.co.uk  Charming and traditional pub. Stunning setting, wonderful traditional bar area and open fires. Fantastic food – a real gem.

The Welcome Stranger: Fish & Chips. 3 miles. Lanivet, PL30 5HF, 01208 831 583.  Just up the road in the next village perfect for a quick bite or takeaway.

Lanivet Inn: 3 miles. Lanivet, PL30 5ET, 01208 831 212.   www.lanivetinn.co.uk  Just up the road in the next village – good pub grub.

The Viraj Indian, Eat In & Takeaway. 2.8 miles. Bodmin, PL31 1JW, 01208 74664 / 73480.  Good local Indian with the usual dishes on offer! www.virajbodmin.co.uk

Strong Adolfos: 9.5 miles. St Breock, Wadebridge PL27 7LR, 01208 816949, www.strongadolfos.com Amazing breakfasts and lunches. Cool and quirky café just outside Wadebridge on the way to Padstow. In the Hawksfield Centre adjacent to some very cool interior shops, local deli and florist.

Wild Bake Pizza (one of our favourites): Fantastic takeaway pizza made in a wood fired oven in a converted horse box. Monday: opposite Lidl in Wadebridge, Tuesday: outside Carpet World, Bodmin (VERY close!) Prawn on the Lawn (one of our favourites): 15 miles. 11 Duke Street, Padstow, PL28 8AB, 01841 532 223, www.prawnonthelawn.com Fantastic and intimate small fish restaurant and fishmongers on the side streets of Padstow. Specialising in local seafood and local produce. Delicious!
Also checkout their sister restaurant Barnaby’s just across the road.

Prawn on the Farm (one of our favourites): 15 miles. Trerethern Farm, Padstow PL28 8LE, 01841 532 223, www.prawnonthelawn.com Same as above but this is a summer pop up (May to Oct) over looking the Camel Estuary, next to the Padstow Kitchen Garden.

Rojanos in the Square: 15 miles. 9 Mill Square, Padstow, PL28 8AE, 01841 532 796, www.paul-ainsworth.co.uk/rojanos-in-the-square/  Italian cooking in the heart of Padstow. Rustic and delicious food for all the family with a lovely courtyard and outdoor heaters. From Paul Ainsworth

Rick Steins: You might have heard of him?! He has 3 restaurants in Padstow (15 miles), 2 just outside Padstow, 1 in Newquay and 1 in Falmouth. We recommend them all!

The Shipwrights Inn: 15 miles. N. Quay Padstow, PL28 8AF, 01841 532 451. Lovely traditional pub on the quayside. Lovely to grab a drink on a nice day and take it out onto the quayside. Good pub food.

The Mariners at Rock (one of our favourites): 12.5 miles. Rock, PL27 6LD, 01208 863 679. www.paul-ainsworth.co.uk. Great pub on the Camel Estuary with stunning views of the water. Menu by Paul Ainsworth.

The Rocket Store, Boscastle (one of our favourites): 01840 250 310. www.therocketstore.co.uk  A small seafood bar/restaurant situated in Boscastle Harbour.

Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen, Nathan Outlaw: 14.1 miles. 1 Middle St, Port Issaac, PL29 3RH, 01208 881 183, www.outlaws.co.uk/fishkitchen What a treat! Small seafood plates cooked to order, intimate setting in the harbour, pricy but if you’re in the market well worth it.

Outlaw’s New Road: 2 Michelin stars. 13.5 miles. 6 New Road, Port Isaac, PL29 3SB, 01208 880 896, www.outlaws.co.uk/restaurants/new-road/. Considered to be the best seafood restaurant in the country. A seafood lovers experience of a lifetime. Fantastic service. The menus highlight the finest sustainable seafood caught off the Cornish coast by small day boats.

The Golden Lion, Port Isaac: 14.1 miles. Park at the top of town and walk down, 01208 880 336, www.thegoldenlionportisaac.co.ukTraditional Cornish pub on the harbour front with locally sourced food.

The Cracking Crab: 13 miles. Polzeath, PL27 6TD, 01208 862 333, http://winkingprawngroup.co.uk/cracking-crab/  Open Seasonally, On the cliffs over looking Polzeath Beach. Relaxed fun vibe, great for kids and dogs. Lots of fish and shellfish. Large outside area.

Gilmores: 19 miles. Newquay, 11 Tower Rd, TR7 1LS, 07375 118 263. GREAT Mexican food! Mini Golf, tacos, tequila and beer! Check them out on instagram.
