Butterwell Farm Cottage Improvements
Phase two of the Buzzard Barn renovations was successfully completed in the early spring. The whole roof was re-built and re-slated, guttering was replaced with galvanised steel and all of the exterior wood has been stained. The resulting effect is a very smart looking Buzzard Barn! We hope to bring you some photos soon, and we can’t wait to show those of you booked in this season.
The re-landscaping of Butterwell Cottage is proving to be a big hit, with guests enjoying views of the river and valley from the new picnic area, and our younger guests have been making the most of the new swing set! The more level access path from the parking area, through the garden to the front door has been much appreciated by all, especially those who would prefer not to climb steps for access. There are further exciting improvements planned, so watch this space.
We haven’t neglected Cobnuts – this has recently benefitted from a lovely new comfy sofa!
- Dog friendly holiday Cornwall
- Butterwell Farm woodland
- Fresh eggs every day
- There’s nothing this man can’t do
Spring on the estate
Springtime at Butterwell is magical. The woodland is a carpet of bluebells, wild garlic and woodland anemone. The birdsong from dusk till dawn is music to the ears, and everywhere you look there is wildlife in abundance. To view recent footage of roe deer in our woodland have a look at our latest youtube video.
Recent weather, particularly over the Easter weekend has been spectacular and guests have enjoyed the Cornish coastline at its best, as well as cycling the Camel Trail on our doorstep between Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow there is so much to discover. The Camel Trail tea garden, a mere 20 minute walk from Butterwell, is now open every day from 10am – 5:30pm serving delicious lunches, cream teas and even Camel Valley fizz!
